Good Product but still lacks complete sweat protection.
I just picked up Gen. 5 nano with this armband and the nike+ kit. This armband fit the nano with the nike+ sensor snuggly and stra ps comfortably around my average sized biceps. Took it for a 5K run and everything felt and functioned properly. After the run I took the nano out and noticed that the back side of the nano was damp from the sweat that had seeped through the back of the felt material on the ipod holder. So there were beeds of sweat on the back of the Nano. The front of the Nano was dry and well protected. Personally I would recommend this only for comfort but if you need absolute sweat protection, you might want to look at the H2O cases. Another recommendation would be to seal the nano with Glad Press N' Seal before putting it into the armband. …

Only if you DON'T sweat!
The first time I used this armband it was very difficult for the face to acknowledge any finger movement because the plastic is to o thick AND being on the treadmill for 45 minutes and having sweat pretty good - I didn't expect the nano to be WET. It froze on me and I had to gently place it in a warm area to dry it out. Fortunately it still works, but I would not recommend this armband because of this serious issue when exercising. Too costly of a shortfall. I almost lost my brand new nano! …

Arm Band NO Good!
This band is not moisture sensitive which caused my nano to quit working. After letting it dry out I still got a white screen. I then went to the troubleshooting section and followed the instructions. I finally got it to work after 3 download tries but then had lines in it, sound was bad (became very drawn out and volume was very inconsistent), pictures where murky. I went running again using the armband and it died.
The short of the long story is I had to send back the BRAND NEW GENERATION 5 NANO for repair. This is time I did not want to spend. I AM MAD!!!!
Plus I have to invest in a new armband or something to put it in while I exercise otherwise there is no need for this product! Why else would I have it if I can't even workout with it comfortably.
Save yourself some hassle DON'T BUY THIS ARMBAND!!!! …- Written by Patricia F from Georgetown

Not worth $29.00
No moisture protection- I-pod had condensation on it after every workout.
No button sensitivity with the clear plastic cover. I -pod was often unresponsive thru the plastic. Also, the plastic wore out after a few months and eventually came completely off, which made the band useless. The I-pod doesn't stay in the band well without the plastic cover.
I would have expected to pay $5.00 the way this band held up. …- Written by Cindy R from Seattle

negative star
The plastic cover is so stiff. selecting a tune was a major project. Once I had made my selection, controlling volume or changi ng the selection on the go was virtually impossible. I just "fixed" it by cutting away most of the plastic. Doesn't anyone test these things? ( I had one for my first nano which worked great.) …

I think the problem that you have is not something that most cases can fix as most cases do not have any cable ties. But you can normally sort these things out through threading the cable up your sleeve then out the top of your t-shirt. Hopefully this would reduce the cable swing. …
