Apple Wireless Keyboard - English
The completely cable-free Apple Wireless Keyboard uses Bluetooth technology to connect with your Mac or iPad. So you’re free to move the keyboard just about anywhere within range and wirelessly type away. And its slim, compact design takes up much less space on your desk.

Use the Apple Wireless Keyboard on your desk, on your lap, or anywhere within 30 feet of your Mac or iPad — all because of its built-in Bluetooth technology. Its compact design takes up 24 percent less space on your desktop than full-size keyboards, so you have extra room to move the keyboard around and mouse comfortably alongside of it. You’ll also feel a difference when you type on its low-profile anodized aluminum enclosure with crisp, responsive keys. Use the function keys for one-touch access to a variety of Mac features such as screen brightness, volume, eject, play/pause, Mission Control, and Launchpad.
The Apple Wireless Keyboard requires just two AA batteries — one less than the previous model. And its intelligent power management system conserves battery life. So when you’re not using the keyboard, it automatically powers down. The instant you start typing, it turns back on. Use the on/off switch when you're away from your computer for a long time.

Can the Apple Wireless Keyboard be used with a Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC?
- Asked by Kevin K from Wheaton
- Oct 20, 2009
Best Answer
Yes.
I'm currently typing this message on the Apple Wireless keyboard and an HP Mini netbook running Windows 7.
The only problem is that Apple simply doesn't have some keys: the insert key and delete key are the biggest problems for me, and the home, page up, page down, and end keys are also missing. My solution was to install EventGhost, which lets me fake those keystrokes by using Fn key combinations (like some laptops do)
To pair it, first turn the keyboard off (hold the power button until the light goes out.) Start searching for new BlueTooth devices in Windows, then press the power button on the keyboard. Windows will then ask you to type a code on the keyboard. …More- Answered by Thomas W from El Cajon

can you use the apple wireless keyboard with the ipad 2?
- Asked by Trampas S from Bloomington
- Mar 14, 2011
Best Answer
Yes it works very well. Pairing is as simple as opening the Settings app, navigating to General > Bluetooth and turning on Bluetooth. Then turn on the keyboard, and you will see it appear as an option under discoverable devices. Select it and follow the directions and, voila, you're paired. You don't need a computer to configure the keyboard at all. I would like to know what sort of keyboard shortcuts are supported, or if there are certain keyboard shortcuts that are supported by certain apps, etc. Does anyone know a good resource for this? I have an iPad 2 32GB Wi-Fi in Black. …More
