Amazing Battery
After getting my aluminum macbook I decided that i would need a secondary battery because often I am away from a plug all day doin g work. These batteries are great let me tell you. I average 4 hours per charge with brightness and keyboard backlighting at 25% and with airport connected. With 2 of these batteries I almost never have to plug in my laptop during the day, only once I get home for the night and put my laptop away to use my MacPro …

Amazing
The battery lasts a long while.
If it's used correctly, it will last for around 3-4 hours.
Just open a few applications and do n't brighten the screen to much.
Connecting to the internet won't help, but it will still last enough.

Very convenient for traveling!!
I just came back from my vacation in Europe. I was there for 2 ½ weeks - reason why I purchased my first 13” Aluminum Macbook (wh ich by the way it’s awesome!) - Anyway, after I purchased my Macbook, I realized that one battery will probably not be enough as the plane ride was pretty long. I decided to order another battery and let me tell you, I am glad I did! It was perfect for my trip, I got to see a couple of movies and work with pictures while in the plane and train rides of the trip. Changing the battery is a breeze, takes me about a minute to do it… very easy!
I totally recommend it, especially if you have to travel often. About the charge life, I experienced 4 hrs, but this is watching movies and with airport on (Blue tooth off). You may be able to get 5 hrs out of these batteries if all that you are doing is word processing.

Barely lasts an hour after >500 cycles.. Would give it 0 stars if possible.. you'd think at this price apple would put out a quali ty product, but no. …

My 2008 Macbook battery has expanded in the centre and distorted the battery cover, It still works and will give about 3 hrs of se rvice. I have removed it and will have to acquire a replacement. It is over 4 years old and probably given good service …

Terribly Unreliable
The battery is 14 months old, and I discharge it completely at least twice a month, yet it will only run my computer for 20 minute s! Completely unacceptable! I've been doing some research about this model number A1185, 10.8 volt. The battery you' re looking at is aluminum so it's the wrong battery. The battery that matches your model is listed by Apple as the MacBook Rechargeable Battery MA561LL/A (white) or (black). It retails for $116. I've notices you can buy much less expensive off brands but people often complain that they don't fit or match in color, also if you want a good battery you want to buy lithium polymer like Apple uses in all of their products. …- Answered by Erin M from Chugiak
