    Beautifully Done.

This product is great and I think everyone who has an iPod Touch 2nd gen should get one of these. It allows you to control your music so much more easily. Instead of having to double click the home screen and then hitting the pause button you can just click the remote on your earbuds. So MUCH easier when your iPod is locked.

Well and then its awesome to be able to record stuff and you skype and other voip apps on your ipod. Its nearly like having an iPhone except with no monthly fee.

iPod Headphone with Mic and Remote

    Written by AG from Kingston

I bought these to replace my lost original set for my iPod Touch 2g. I found the sound quality for recording is excellent considering the size of the microphone.

I use iTalk to record and iTalk Sync for Windows to upload my recordings to desktop. It recorded kids running at the above appartment better then my Logitech headset with mic on my laptop.

I love the volume control and song Next/Previous when I walk the dog. I don't have to keep reaching for my iPod.

    A good buy!

    A great piece of technology!

This product is very useful to have. I am using it for the ipod touch(2nd Gen)The microphone is great and picks up all kinds of sounds. You just have to remember not to put your finger over it! This mic allows you to use many applications. The remote controls are great and easier to use than the touch screen. My only dislike is that sometimes you have to twist the input certain ways to get the remote control and mic to work. If you have an ipod touch(2nd gen) and the mic and remote don't work at first, don't worry. Just keep twisting the headphones in. More

    I love their abilities...

It's really useful and I use it all the time!
But what really upsets me is that it is NOT at all durable.
I had my iPhone for three weeks and these stopped working.
I would love to buy another pair, but not knowing that they will just break quickly.
This doesn't help with the already disappointing history of Apple's earphones.
They just wear out too quickly!

    Problems

    Written by MW from Muncie

I had my shuffle for a month and noticed that during my workouts, i couldn't adjust the volume. Later in the day the volume controls were back. However, during the next workout, once i had began to sweat, i lost the volume control again. Eventually, the volume controls were out completely. This was within 2 months of purchase.

The remote housing is not sufficient to shield sweat from getting on the inside and corrupting the switch.

    doesn't work with ipod classic

Written by SW from Lions Head

I do think the earphones are alright for sound quality, nothing fabulous, but as good an earbud as I have found. My problem with this is that my ipod classic does not work with the remote. So I paid more for these buds because of the handy remote, and although it said they work with ipod classic they do not if you have a 160GB rather than a 120. ???? Why that should matter I don't know, but they sure don't tell you about it. Second problem, once you have accepted that the remote doesn't work and you just want to use the earbuds as they are perhaps with the extremely expensive radio remote you can buy as an accessory. NO, doesn't work at all because the remotes on the buds somehow mess with the other remote. So now you try checking for some software update for your ipod classic that will fix it, nope. Dream on, no update. They want you to buy another ipod. That's a microsoft trick. Apple is no different. More
