These dock adapters enable your iPod nano (4th generation) to connect to the Apple Universal Dock and other products that use the Universal Dock system.
Simply insert an iPod nano dock adapter into the Universal Dock, then plug in your iPod nano. When you want to connect another iPod or an iPhone to the Universal Dock, pop out the iPod nano dock adapter and insert a different one.

This adaptor came with my 4G iPod Nano and fits neatly into the top of my Sony hifi... so far so good....however my stereo and iPod are both BLACK, the adaptor is bright WHITE.
Result: Looks ridiculous.
I suggest Apple produce this item in colours that match the iPods (or at least add a black and silver option to the range)

Like the other review -- this fits perfectly into my JBL on stage IIIp but looks incredibly dorky being bright white compared with the black speaker and grey Nano. …More
