Apple Remote Desktop for me was amazing partly because i had never used such an easy and fast program. This is great and perfect fRead moreor what i was looking for. The Software itself has a large number of options and controls the three i like the best are, 'Observe' 'Control' 'Cloak'. I have tried other software in the past such as VNC (vine) for mac and that was to be honest hard and the software did take a long time to connect sometimes. Bottom line is if you need a quick way to access files, desktop, install software on other hard to reach macs this is the software for you and you will not regret buying it.

Working in a high school always has its challenges. With Apple Remote Desktop though, I have full control of student's computers Read morewithout any interference. Doing updates is a breeze as well. After downloading Apple Update Packages on my Mac, I simply send the packages to the other networked Macs and the rest takes care of itself. The updates are automatically installed and I don't have to slow down the entire network for hours while each Mac updates.

    WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I've been using this through all 3 incarnations, and it's just gotten better each time.
Do you need to start all units in the buiRead morelding, do you need/want to manage from another city?
Copy files to the same locations on multiple machines?
I thought perhaps Screen Sharing in OS10.5 would accomplish this, but Remote Desktop does it with any number of stations, instead of 1 at a time.
