Overview

The Apple Micro-DVI to VGA Adapter was designed specifically to fit the slim profile of the 1st-generation MacBook Air. Connect the adapter to the Mini-DVI port of your MacBook Air and the VGA end of the adapter to an external VGA monitor or projector. You can use this cable in both video mirroring and extended desktop modes.

    DON'T BE MISLED BY THE INACCURATE REVIEW - ADAPTER WORKS WITH ALL!!

    The other reviewer had a problem adjusting the resolution on his machine to match his plasma display. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ADAPTER! The adapter does NOT affect the display resolution! It has no processor on board of any kind, it is a simple wire that acts as a conduit between the machine and the display. ANY PROBLEMS THAT THE REVIEWER WAS HAVING WAS WITH THE DISPLAY SETTINGS, AND HAS *NOTHING* TO DO WITH THE ADAPTER. This is a great adapter and has worked extremely well for me for many years with many different machines and displays. Again, don't be misled by an uninformed review.     Works for us with all the digital projectors we've come across. However, whenever possible, use Apple's Micro-DVI to DVI adapter instead. Most higher-end monitors have a DVI input in addition to (or instead of!) a VGA input, and using the DVI avoids converting to analog and then back, and gives less chance for sync issues. …More

    I bought this product for my macbook to use for some projects and presentation. I have used this product many times and it has not failed me yet. It is well worth the $20. I would recommend this product to anyone. The other guy who reviewed this just didn't adjust their contrast. …More

    I'm sure this item would work if it were longer. The cord is only 3 inches long. I wanted to use it to connect my laptop to my TV (to watch Hulu and whatnot), but it's not even close to long enough to use for such a thing. I'll be returning it pronto. …More

    Lovely piece of mac engineerng. And I'm sure it works.

    IT DOES HOWEVER NOT FIT THE 13 INCH MAC AIR. Which is the entire reason I purchased it. Save yourself some hassle, and go into the store with your mac air, and make sure it fits before buying it. Skip buying it online, since they obviously can't be bothered to make sure they send you the correct items.

    I use it with my DVI to ADC adapter MacBook Pro MICRO to DVI to DVI to ADC= just fine
