    good but expensive

I think that snow leopard is fast and extremely stable but doesn't come at a good price. I've had this for about a year or more now and I've newer experienced any sort of problems of any kind, its the most reliable os system I've used and trust me, I've used xubuntu, ubuntu, mint, XP, Vista, windows 2000, 7... Its the best out there. One major draw back is that it is very expensive and I think that if apple made it cheeper they would make much customers. I'd say for the price, you should go get a new mac mini that comes with this os at exactly the same price. Over all, this is the best it gets and remember no computer company is perfect!( i would rate this 4 4/3 stars if I could.

this is the best OS i have seen to date. it is so much faster. I thought i would lose more space but instead i gained about 20 GB. Its much more simpler, faster, and has more to it than anything else. Works great on my 13-inch macbook. More

This is the perfect server solution for just about anyone - from the normal consumer to the advanced IT guy. It has an endless amount of features that are well worth the price you're paying. It works on any old Mac you have laying around that runs Snow Leopard, so it's a great way to put use into your old computer or new one. Lastly, I use a majority of the features in this product that come built in (MySQL, QTSS, Server Admin, etc) and these features completely disappear (well, except Server Admin which has been greatly watered down to the point where you have little control over the server) in Lion Server, so this is your last best bet at buying a good Macintosh Server that both works well and allows you to have a lot of control over it. Snow Leopard Server is the best. More

    Print Share & Stability Issues

Chose OS X Server for a home server after struggling with a NAS that never worked right. The server component seems to work fine, but am having various issues compared to OS X 10.5. Most troubling - can't get printer to share. This was a no brainer on OS X 10.5, but so far impossible on 10.6. Also, MS Office (especially Entourage) keeps displaying strange error messages (yes, I rebuilt the database) and locking up. Various apps also seem to momentarily hang up, and iTunes is having photo sync issues with AppleTV. Not sure if these are issues with the Server version or Snow Leopard in general - a friend says the non-server version has made many apps unstable as well. Hmm… wish I could downgrade to 10.5, but of course Intel processors require 10.6. Am getting irritated by the accumulation of small (and some large) issues. More

You be the judge: is ST on to something, or is ST simply on something?
