My last gen MBP runs so much faster. Finder is much faster and overall all applications launch quicker. After installation, Snow Leopard freed up about 12gb of space!

I own a macbook air with the 60gb solid state drive and the memory space went from 10gb to 25gb its super fast and amazing its better than what they said. …More

Back up your data before you install any new O/S !

Any time you upgrade your operating system, you should back up your user data first.
I usually partition my hard drive into "O/S" and "Data" partitions.
That way if the O/S breaks, I can reinstall it and not touch my data.

Do a clean install

I'm not sure why people haven't figured out that if you do a clean install you avoid all the problems. Yea it takes longer (you have to back up your files etc.) but in the long run you avoid hours if not days and months of problems. I have been using Apple and Microsoft products since they first came out and I have always done a clean install. I have never had any problems (except for a couple Microsoft products that never should have been released). Also, always make sure you download the latest update for a new OS when you install it and you should have smooth sailing!! …More

I have insatalled snow lepard and did not even think about parallel windows not being compatable. Now I am sittting with the problem. Will I be able to retrieve my work after instaling paralle's 4 on to mac. Other wise with the PRO'S I have a big CON regarding the product.
