    Horrible Sound Quality & Fitting

I must admit that I've used these type of earbuds for over a year (The ones that came with the iPod) and I *thought* they were a pretty good pair of earphones because I never had anything else to compare it to... Now, I own a pair of V-Moda and Shure earphones and I can't believe what I was missing! You don't even need to spend big bucks to outperform these Apple earbuds. I would have given this a one star but the built in button which answers calls, pauses music, skips tracks, etc. is a great little feature. Nonetheless, I will not use these for my iPhone. More

Work great, they just make your ears hurt

The headphones work great and the call quality is amazing . My only serious complaint is that they just make your ears hurt after wearing them for a prolonged period. I am not sure what Apple did with the redesign but these things are considerably uncomfortable compared to earlier generations of headphones. More

Buy these headphones even if you don't have an iPhone. They are very comfortable, and the sound quality is great. Plus they have a feature where you can greatly reduce the volume that make them great for listening to music while conversing with people! More

I have gone through about 5 sets of these since the first iPhone was launched. The speaker inside the bud busts easily creating muffled sound, the button on the speaker breaks and the plastic wears off around the earbud. More

I've had my iPhone for about 6 weeks and the headphones are already broken!!I hope that apple will replace them because they are not durable and definitely NOT worth 29.00$USThey now only work intermittently when you wiggle the connection, and it keeps skipping to "voice call"??? Annoying... More

    Works well, but they're delicate!

I just had to replace my original headphones & mic that came with my iPhone 3G, approximately 15 months old. They've been pretty reliable, but approx. 4 months after continuous use, the soft greyish rubbery surrounds on the earbuds started to fray. Over the course of 3 weeks, I lost these somewhat essential seals to the earbuds, which meant that the buds didn't stay as securely in my ears, and there was some sound leakage which could annoy others (a nod to my partner, here) when the volume was turned up.

I use the headphones ALL THE TIME: with the phone in my pocket, I can answer calls, redial the last called number, and start and stop audio choices from the remote. This control is also quite sensitive (reminds me of the scroll ball on the mighty mouse!), so its use became temperamental over a similar period. Then the shock boots cushioning the cables into the jack and the earbuds split and frayed. All in all, for such an accessory, it's probably a good idea to budget for a new one every year, and buy it direct from the Apple Store, as those thieves from the Rogers retail outlets charged me $45 for a replacement this morning!
