Horrible Sound Quality & Fitting
Written by AE from San Leandro
Jul 24, 2007
I must admit that I've used these type of earbuds for over a year (The ones that came with the iPod) and I *thought* they were a pretty good pair of earphones because I never had anything else to compare it to... Now, I own a pair of V-Moda and Shure earphones and I can't believe what I was missing! You don't even need to spend big bucks to outperform these Apple earbuds. I would have given this a one star but the built in button which answers calls, pauses music, skips tracks, etc. is a great little feature. Nonetheless, I will not use these for my iPhone. …More

Work great, they just make your ears hurt
Written by AJ from Wilton
Jul 10, 2007
The headphones work great and the call quality is amazing . My only serious complaint is that they just make your ears hurt after wearing them for a prolonged period. I am not sure what Apple did with the redesign but these things are considerably uncomfortable compared to earlier generations of headphones. …More

They work for iPod too!

Buy these headphones even if you don't have an iPhone. They are very comfortable, and the sound quality is great. Plus they have a feature where you can greatly reduce the volume that make them great for listening to music while conversing with people! …More

Why Can't Apple make decent headphones?
Written by JW from BAINBRIDGE ISLAND
Nov 22, 2009
Every other Apple product I have purchased has been high quality, well designed, etc.
But I have had 4 pairs of these over the years. Every single one of them keep falling out of my ears. The only way to get them to stay in is to jam them in so far that they hurt, or you can't hear anything because they are crooked in your ear
The phone mic is great. No problems and high praises.
I just wish Apple would make earphones that are equal to their other products in quality and usability. These aren't up to your standards, Apple! …MoreWas this useful?

STICKY headset cord
Written by SL from northridge
Nov 18, 2009
the STICKY headset cord is so annoying. it sticks to EVERYTHING! i've tried lubricating it with:
1. baby powder and corn starch(each lasted about 4 hours.
2. wd40
3. 3 in 1 oil
4. orange oil
5. penetrating lubricant
6. garage door lubricant
1-6 lasted about 3 hours.
next i'll try window wax or bee's wax and butchers wax.
APPLE? ARE YOU HEARING THIS. PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM
AND WHILE WERE AT IT, INCREASE THE VIBRATION OF ALERTS ON THE IPHONE SO I CAN STOP MISSING MY APPOINTMENTS. AND IMPROVE THE SPEAKERPHONE. $40 cellphones have better speakerphones than the iphone. and let us have multiple apps open at the same time. if this uses up the power too quickly for you than give us the darn option to turn it off using multiple apps at one time in settings. …More1 of 3 people found this useful
