Overview

Allows your Cinema or Cinema HD Display (anodized aluminum) to be used with VESA compliant mounting solutions such as wall mounts and articulating arms.

The Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter allows your Apple flat panel display (anodized aluminum) to be used with a variety of alternate mounting solutions such as wall mounts and zero footprint articulating arms based on the VESA flat panel mounting interface (FPMI). The new Apple flat panel family features a removable desktop stand. The Cinema Display VESA Mount Adapter Kit contains a tool that allows you to remove the desktop stand and to attach the VESA Mount Adapter to the display. The display is now ready to attach to any VESA compliant mounting solution that has a 100mm x 100 mm attachment.

The Apple flat panel display line (anodized aluminum) with the VESA mount adapter attached complies with the VESA MIS-D, 100, C version of the specification.

    This mount adapter was quick and easy to install and maintains the sleek design of my cinema display. I've used it to mount the display to the Atdec Telehook Multi LCD Mount and am extremely happy with the results. (Note: Affixing the mount adapter can be done solo.     most vesa arms have 75mm x 75mm mounts. This is 100mm x 100mm., which means you need yet another adapter. this should have just had the 75mm holes drilled in as well. …More

    While this products functions perfectly, the reason for the low score is due to my feeling that this should have been included with my monitor. NOT something I need to go out and spend an additional $30 on. Especially since most other LCD monitors now have this feature built in already. I wouldn't want to ruin the esthetic, so I don't mind that it is a seperate piece, it just really should have been included. …More

    My coworker wanted a standing desk so I attached this for him. The amount of force I had to use to line up the screws was insane. The piece of plastic you get to unlatch the thing is cheap. Too much pressure in the wrong place and you make it useless.
    After being sick of the standing desk my coworker wanted the original stand back. I pulled it out and they needed help. They got it removed and the other stand attached, but couldn't get the monitor to tilt back. There are no instructions in the manual on removing it. I found a few things online (nothing on the apple site) but nothing was useful.
    The real trick was pushing the monitor so far forward you felt like you were breaking the thing. Then you can use the card to push the spring and release the lock. Very unfriendly.

    The VESA mount looks great and works as advertised, but it is extreamly difficult to mount. It took me a good half an hour of fiddling with the screws before I got them to catch on both sides. A little more tolorance in the design would be a great benefit. …More

    On my mid-2011 27" iMac, the holes didn't line up, and they were off a lot. I removed the protective plastic strips and it was closer, but still no fit. To make it work, I had to machine off almost 5/64" from the bracket. You should also be careful with the eight screws that hold the bar onto the back of the iMac---they're softer than you might expect. Overall, poor design or quality control (I don't know which), but I expected better from Apple. …More

    This mount FITS ONLY THE OLD LINE OF APPLE CINEMA DISPLAYS (21, 23 and 30 Inch). There is another mount that looks similar to this one but is a little bigger, and is designed to fit the 24" Led Cinema Display and all 27" line of displays (including Thunderbolt Cinema Displays) and 27" iMacs. Unfortunately, none of the two mounts mentioned before fit on the 21.5" iMacs. …More
