I bought this knowing that yeah it might be a little thicker then my USB cable but it's not that big of a deal. I personally think it makes the product feel more durable rather than flimsy and fragile. The thickness of the cord it comparable to that of a vacuum cleaner. Like a vacuum cleaner's power cord, it is also tangle free. It came wrapped up in the box for who knows how long and as soon as I strung it out it was straight and flexible. To help with any confusion like I had when I first bought this.

This power adapter comes with the following:

    - 10W power brick (same as the one shipped with your iPad, so yes now you'll have two)

    - 3 foot USB cable (same as the one shipped with your iPad; again, yes you'll have two of those as well)

    - 6 foot wall plug (this is the one that is thicker but also very sturdy)

    - manuals and all that stuff.

Over all, I think this product is perfect to have for anyone that uses their iPad frequently. I don't feel comfortable buying a "USB extender" from a generic retailer not only because it'll look ugly but because it might not charge my iPad, with my luck. I have no regret buying this and I feel like I got my money's worth plus now I have a charger for my office and one for my night stand.

Yes you can charge your iPad through the computer

Don't believe the other reviewer here. You CAN charge your iPad through your computer. Just make sure that the USB port has enough power to do so. In other words, don't plug it in your keyboard usb plug and then come on here and blast your complaints around :) More

When it comes down to it, a back up power supply is always helpful. This price is very reasonable, so why not? One power supply in a specific location at home, another one that that I take with me for business. More

This is an awesome charger it charges my iPad 2 and all of my other devices (since the usb plug is interchangeable with any usb 2.0 cable) so much faster than normal. I couldn't live without this product, considering buying a second one! A must buy! More

    Expensive extension cord

Got this for my wife's iPad. She commented that a white extension cord for the original charger would have been a lot less expensive than this, and the pop off part with the blades is just going to get lost. However, a second sync/charge cord and brick may be useful for others. More

    Stops ipad2 vibrating

Ive not long had my iPad and noticed that with standard charger supplied with iPad when I used it to charge my iPad the back of my iPad vibrated. I've found this is a common problem. I searched the web for answers and found that this charger stops the vibrating so I bought one, and yes it worked don't feel a thing from iPad anymore. Plus lead is very long. Apple really should supply these adaptors when you buy iPad. I'm just a bit gutted I had to spend £25 buying this but it's money we'll spent as I wasnt sure if the vibrating was good for my iPad. It can, but it will charge at a much slower rate than if it were charger with the 10W USB adapter, because the iPhone/iPod touch chargers were meant for lower powered devices and the iPad eats up a lot of power. So, it will just charge slower. More

Yes, in a roundabout way. There are some limits:
    1. It has to be self powered
    2. It can only sync pictures (no viewing/editing/copying documents)
    3. It CAN sync pics, but only if in a DCIM folder (what a camera creates)
    Hope this helps
