First, three little demerits keep me from giving it 5 stars. 1) It lacks a remote to control volume or select input devices; 2) The mid-range gets a little muffled; and 3) Beyond bluetooth there is no wireless connectivity for AirPlay or other services. The good news is there is a workaround for each of the demerits unlike other speaker options. This is because of all the input options available on the Stanmore. There are four collective connections available including bluetooth, dedicated optical via which I use an Airport Express connection to maximize and play my iTunes Match collection via AppleTV (which also provides remote volume control), a dedicated RCA stereo connection input and a dedicated 3.5mm input. I suspect the optical connection will work for other wireless services but I'm an Apple fan so the other options mean little to me. I put the Stanmore through its paces today for about 5 hours and never lost a connection from Airport Express or an iPhone 6. Last thing, if the furniture in your home is a warm brown the Stanmore with a brown finish will nicely complement things.

The Bluetooth never worke I bought this in June of 2014. When it worked, it had a pleasant sound. We had high hopes for it...

The Bluetooth never worked properly on this device. It would connect to an iPad or iPhone from a distance of less than two feet, about ten percent of the time. Finally I gave up and just started plugging it in to the device.

Now that does not even work - none of the lights come on, and it just makes a very faint metronomic clicking when powered on.

As of February 2015, it no longer works at all.

Unfortunately the local Apple store won't have anything to do with it, so I have to start slogging through the process of returning it by shipping it someplace.
