Great Earphones! A huge improvement for Beats.
I have used many pairs of Beats by Dr. Dre in the past and had a mediocre experience. Everything from earphones to Beats Pros. I g I have used many pairs of Beats by Dr. Dre in the past and had a mediocre experience. Everything from earphones to Beats Pros. I got my hands on this pair and was a bit skeptical at first. I was never a fan of these types of earphones. Then I put these earphones on. THEY ARE FANTASTIC! You might be hearing that Beats sound quality has been improved with their new products, THIS IS MORE THAN TRUE. The new sound quality on these Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats2 are great! Make sure to follow the instructions on how to apply the earphones to your ear and try the different custom buds that come with it to find that perfect fit. It is important to do both of these to achieve the best sound quality! I was throughly impressed with the battery life and connectivity as well. The box says 6 hours of playback on a single charge and I found this to be about accurate. These wireless earphones also stay on my ears very well and I would consider myself to have fairly normal shaped ears. OVERALL: A GREAT PAIR OF EARPHONES! They are a little pricey but, in my opinion, worth almost every penny. …

Great sound, doesn't fall off, but not super comfortable on ears.
I liked the sound quality, really nice. They don't fall off because of the over the ear hook design. But at this price range I was I liked the sound quality, really nice. They don't fall off because of the over the ear hook design. But at this price range I was expecting them to be really comfortable as well. The buds are causing me little ear irritation, may not be the case with everyone as my skin is more sensitive. Also the hanging cable sticks to my skin when I move my neck left or right to watch for traffic when running, so when I move my neck, because of sticking cable there is drag tension, which irritates me. I wish they provided a clip on the cable that one can hook on the shirt while keeping the cable either on front or over the neck, which will possibly avoid the drag tension. They are very close to the best wireless headset available in the market. …

Can not charge, doesn't work
I bought this powerbeats 2 wireless earphone first time based on beat good reputation. Unfortunately, like what the other user sai I bought this powerbeats 2 wireless earphone first time based on beat good reputation. Unfortunately, like what the other user said here, I can't charge this earphone either, I tried to charge it over my laptop, over my iPhone charger, my iPad charger, and even by beats own charger, all never work. Beats said you can only charge 15mins, then you will have 1hour play time, Actually I charge it for over 12 hrs, and the light is still red, and when I tried to use it, no power at all. So disappointed, return it in apple store. I don't know why beats can make such bad quality product. Not recommend this expensive and bad quality earphone to anyone. …

Great set of workout earphones

I'll be the first to admit, sound quality has not always b I am a long-time beats customer, from the days of the original studios. I'll be the first to admit, sound quality has not always been their strong suit, but for my music interests and aesthetic interest, they have generally satisfied my needs. With the Powerbeats2, my expectations have been surpassed.
I currently also own the beats tour, which work great for drowning out train noise on my morning EL commute. However, the in ear style of these headphones does not work for me when working out. A week before purchasing the Powerbeats2, I actually picked up a pair of the original powerboats (before I realized a refresh was due. Upon ordering these, I promptly returned them). In my time with them, I fell in love with the ear hook and fit, which delivered great sound while still allowing ambient noise for runs in the city and along Lakeshore Drive. In opting for the Powerbeats2, I hoped to get a bit of the sound quality and some of the comfort, in a wireless package.
The Powerbeats2 deliver in terms of audio performance, comfort, and style. As I mentioned earlier, these headphones do not offer the true "noise isolation" that you would find with the Tour or a similar set. They aren't intended to. However, they do very adequately block external noise. I have used these in the gym, and am able to completely tune out of my surroundings at around half volume. The sound quality is great, with rich bass for such a small set, and kids and highs that are true to sound.
In terms of comfort, I don't think I've had a better sent of workout headphones. Once adjusted properly, with the correct ear tips and the ear hooks adjusted to my liking, I was honestly able to forget I was wearing these headphones. I was worried that with the wireless aspect, I would be adding extra weight that would result in a lackluster fit. Not the case. They are seriously light and extremely comfortable. The only pair I will wear when running from now on.
Finally, the form factor. Again, I was expecting a large hike in size with this wireless set. While there is definitely a boxier feel to these headphones when compared to the original powerboats, they will not leave you feeling like you are wearing a headset. Additionally, the microphone and volume control has been updated to more closely match that of the tour, which I like. The original powerbeats had an odd diamond shaped mic that I did not like.
My only complaint so far is that the battery life seems a bit short, at only 6 hours per charge. Something I am willing to deal with. I can also confirm what some others have mentioned, which is the serious lag when watching videos. However, this is a non-issue for me, as I stick with my wired sets when watching videos or other media and use these strictly for exercise.
Overall, very pleased with this pair of headphones. Beats, you have seriously outdone yourself. I am hoping this trend continues with other Beats products. …

The Powerbeats were a big disappointment during my first song played. Where's the bass? It's gone, I adjusted the bass booster on The Powerbeats were a big disappointment during my first song played. Where's the bass? It's gone, I adjusted the bass booster on the iPhone which helped a bit. It's still a far cry from the Beats Tour 2. Then I received my first phone call walked outside in my backyard the person mentioned I sounded like I was in a tunnel. At that moment I was about to return the head set as just another disappointing blue tooth. A few minutes later I made my second phone call in my car it was crystal clear. The head set is comfortable and easy to operate. My third phone call was in m office which lasted 1 hour. My colleague had no idea I was using the Bluetooth headset. Bottom line the music sound fine not great, don't use the head set in a loud environment as others won't be able to hear you. If Beats would build a noice canceling powerbeats 2 head set with heavy bass this would be considered a winner. Otherwise it's overpriced, it has it strong points but many areas for improvement. …
