At first, I was a bit skeptical about buying this product based off the review available at the time, but I am glad I bought it. The leather is very nice and of good quality. The stitching seems as if it will last a long time without tearing apart. There is a little french flag on the side where the zipper closes (can be seen in the picture). The inside of the sleeve is made of a very soft material. The leather provides padding for protecting the MacBook. The zipper is not cheap and it does not scratch or scrape the laptop as you close the zipper. In addition, the sleeve has plenty of room for your MacBook. I was initially skeptical about buying this product mainly because I wasn't sure if my MacBook would fit considering I fitted it with a Moshi iGlaze Hardshell Case (highly recommended). I wasn't sure if the added thickness would prevent my MacBook from fitting in this 'Slim' sleeve. I took a risk and it paid off. The sleeve fits perfectly. Not too tight and not too loose. Without the case, the MacBook still fits snuggly in the sleeve like a glove.

Also, when removing the computer from the case, the edges of the zipper tend to "catch" the ports on the computer making it somewhat difficult to remove. …

This is an envelope only with a zipper on top. It's very very lovely. I finally decided to get another cover because I'm doing a lot of traveling and I wanted something with a little more protection but that wasn't a shell, so I got the Incase leather and gabardine cover instead. The Decoded one fits pretty snugly on the MacAir and would probably be very tight on a MacPro. It's so attractive that when I saw a woman with one in the airport I asked her what it was (twice). I may still get it when I get home…. …

So I guess that it depends on your definition of snug. I have the 13" MacBook Pro with retina late 2013, and I was after a snug fit. Something that my MacBook wouldn't slip around in. Well, once it's in, it slides around a little bit as it's about 1cm too long and 1cm too wide, and a tad too thick. …
