Shift Premium Bluetooth Audio. Bluetooth rewritten.
Integrating a custom implementation of the native Bluetooth SBC codec, which JayBird calls Shift, BlueBuds X headphones deliver a level of purity and sound that rivals and challenges the best in wired headphones. A great feature of Shift is that it's pair and play, so nothing special is required on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, just standard Bluetooth.
PureSound white noise filtering
All in-ear headphones (wired or wireless) create white noise, which over time results in listener fatigue. JayBird's on-board filtering system, called PureSound, filters out and eliminates the white noise to give you a clean audio experience. This is especially helpful for long workouts when you've turned up the volume to motivate yourself.
Playtime to up to eight hours
Though they're among the smallest Bluetooth buds available, BlueBuds X pack an impressive eight hours of playtime—double the duration that was previously possible from such a small design. And for convenience, it uses a standard micro-USB connector for charging and includes a battery status icon on screen for iPhone users.
Patented secure fit
Patented sports ear cushions hug into the top, back, and lower surface areas of your ear—all essential for the most secure fit during sports and fitness activities.
X-Fit for over- or under-ear fit options
JayBird's patent pending X-Fit design lets you use the headphones either in the traditional under-ear wearing style for music and calls or over-ear—completely free of any cord on your neck—so it feels like you don't have any headphones on.
Designed for running and outdoor sports, Signal Plus maintains a clear constant signal to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch no matter where it is.
Jenna Voice prompts
Don't worry if you haven't used Bluetooth before, BlueBuds X offers voice prompts for easy use.
The BlueBuds X headphones come with a lifetime warranty against sweat and are the official training headphones of USA Triathlon.

Eventhough it's through bluetooth, it blocks out the white noise and delivers quality and clear sound. Because of it's secure fit, you can jam the earbuds in for great and balanced bass. My ears are smaller than average and with the right rubber bud, it stays very comfortable in the ear. It chafes a bit when i run, so i would recommend putting some vasoline along the rubber areas so it doesn't cause more chafing. The Battery life is super. It'll last longer than a plane ride from LA to NY. So you got an earphone that's great for normal listening, working out, multitasking, and traveling. All wireless.
Probably was too jazzed up about the music quality I haven't fully tested the mic on it. I've made a few phone calls with it, but probably I haven't used that part enough to give my final verdict.
About me: I own UE Triple Driver Headphones which are my favorite for normal listening and have used Sony MDR-7506 for recordings. I'm particular in my music and my MP3s have to at least 256kbps. If it would make sense that I have the storage space, I would only listen to FLAC files.
I would like this to be at least 20 dollars cheaper, but still I don't regret any penny and compared to everything else I spend money on, this one actually makes sense. Actually........I would probably have paid more for these. …

Ordered these for my wife and just received in the mail today. Once you find the right fit with the ear cushion attachments these Ordered these for my wife and just received in the mail today. Once you find the right fit with the ear cushion attachments these puppies will not come off with any jumping/running/exercise and feel really comfortable. The sound is really quite amazing for bluetooth headphones with deep, rich bass. Bluetooth range is not a problem. With a lifetime warranty against damage due to sweat, I think the bluebuds are on top of the heap in its category! Tried calling a friend using the headset and call clarity was great. Nice touch with the battery indicator showing on the screen of our iPhones too.
The only other test to determine now is how reliable the build is... Time will tell. …

They sound great, the best bluetooth in ear headphones I've tried so far and I've tried a lot of them. I spend a lot of time in the gym so having no wires is important to me. An even BIGGER plus is the unit can be worn over or under ear. Over-ear is perfect for the gym while lifting weights especially for squats or any behind the neck exercise(s). I have a slight problem with them staying in my ear and I've tried all the tips that come with the unit. I always have trouble with ear buds staying in without having to give them a push or two here and there. I've noticed they are a little finicky while in the parking lot at several gyms the connection tends to go in and out but while inside the gym and else where I have not had any connection issues. I've only paired them with my iPod nano(new generation). They can be paired up to 8 devices which is another nice feature. They are very comfortable, I can't say that enough. I wish the case was a soft case but that is a minor detail. …

Best for the money
I've owned these earbuds for well over a year now and I can tell you that they are the best of any I have tried! I work in an auto I've owned these earbuds for well over a year now and I can tell you that they are the best of any I have tried! I work in an automotive assembly plant and it is a relatively harsh environment. I typically work 8hr shifts sometimes 12hrs. I have yet to have the battery die on me or have any problems with the controls. I don't usually have music on the entire time so I can't confirm battery life of constant audio playback. The earbuds are fairly large in comparison to standard wired earbuds that will feel odd at first. The beauty of the wireless more than outweighs the extra size. The bluetooth connection is solid and has a HUGE range. I can walk almost 50' sometimes more before they disconnect. The sound quality is AMAZING for wireless earbuds! There is considerable bass (more than any other inear bud I have tried.) As with any inear earbud though the amount of bass depends on how well they seal in your ear. These earbuds are very comfortable but do have what I would call a "break-in" period while your ears get used to the shape and feel. When I first got them, my ears would be physically slightly sore after 6-8hrs. Now though, I can do 12hrs no problem!
Now for the cons
The cable that runs from one earbud to the other is a flat ribbon cable. I would prefer a simple round cable.
They are expensive!! Sound quality more than makes up for it though and they are rugged enough for everyday use.
Perhaps my BIGGEST issue with these earbuds are the soft silicon tips. There are no ridges where they slide onto the earbud to grip them. So when you pull the earbuds out, the silicon tip often (almost ALWAYS) stay in my ear!!! If you have a good seal, sometimes it is difficult to remove the tip. This is the sole reason why I wrote this review and the sole reason why they only got a 4 star rating! If they fixed this one MAJOR annoyance, they would have a customer for life! …

I had originally gone into the Apple Retail Store to purchase another set of Bose in ear headphones. Then I saw some wireless head I had originally gone into the Apple Retail Store to purchase another set of Bose in ear headphones. Then I saw some wireless headphone. The employee said that they were great so I thought I would give them a try, I am glad that I did because they are great. They pair with my iPhone very easily and they are comfortable. Mose head phone fall out of my ear especially the EarPods. These headphone like the Bose head phone have the ear piece that keeps the headphone in your ear securely. If you haven't tried wireless headphone and you are very active and like the not accidentally grab your cord in the middle of a run then try these out. …

What is dead may never die ...
... but rises again, harder and stronger. 300 words isn't a lot of space, so, here's a great story in point form:
1) I'm a carel ... but rises again, harder and stronger. 300 words isn't a lot of space, so, here's a great story in point form:
1) I'm a careless dolt
2) I put these headphones in the washing machine for 35 minutes
3) They came out stone dead, although at first the red and green lights flashed alternately as if to say "help me" but it was too late
4) I wept, for I had owned them for only six weeks, and they are expensive
5) I tried to gingerly dry them out and it didn't work
7) Sorry. Anyway, it's a day later, and I plugged them in to charge them, and the red light came on.
8) Now they're working perfectly. Oh my god. I felt so gutted, and now it's like my execution has been stopped at the last possible second.
Sorry for the Game of Thrones reference, because I understand that not literally everyone watches or likes that show, but these are the headphones the Ironborn would wear into battle. Also, they sound really good. That's important, too.
Gripes: it's really designed for music, not podcasts. That's a fair assumption for a high-quality audio device, but it's irritating to have to dig out the iPad to go back 15 seconds. The controls on the headphones can only do whole-track skipping. And although they sound really good, they're not quite as good as the Sennheisers they're replacing, but that set was wired. That's it; that's all I got for gripes. Everything else is really great. …
