Shift Premium Bluetooth Audio. Bluetooth rewritten.
Integrating a custom implementation of the native Bluetooth SBC codec, which JayBird calls Shift, BlueBuds X headphones deliver a level of purity and sound that rivals and challenges the best in wired headphones. A great feature of Shift is that it's pair and play, so nothing special is required on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, just standard Bluetooth.
PureSound white noise filtering
All in-ear headphones (wired or wireless) create white noise, which over time results in listener fatigue. JayBird's on-board filtering system, called PureSound, filters out and eliminates the white noise to give you a clean audio experience. This is especially helpful for long workouts when you've turned up the volume to motivate yourself.
Playtime to up to eight hours
Though they're among the smallest Bluetooth buds available, BlueBuds X pack an impressive eight hours of playtime—double the duration that was previously possible from such a small design. And for convenience, it uses a standard micro-USB connector for charging and includes a battery status icon on screen for iPhone users.
Patented secure fit
Patented sports ear cushions hug into the top, back, and lower surface areas of your ear—all essential for the most secure fit during sports and fitness activities.
X-Fit for over- or under-ear fit options
JayBird's patent pending X-Fit design lets you use the headphones either in the traditional under-ear wearing style for music and calls or over-ear—completely free of any cord on your neck—so it feels like you don't have any headphones on.
Designed for running and outdoor sports, Signal Plus maintains a clear constant signal to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch no matter where it is.
Jenna Voice prompts
Don't worry if you haven't used Bluetooth before, BlueBuds X offers voice prompts for easy use.
The BlueBuds X headphones come with a lifetime warranty against sweat and are the official training headphones of USA Triathlon.

JayBird Bluetooth Headphones

I bought them to replace a pair of Motorola Bluetooth headphones that I bought on Amazon. I'm an extremely heavy sweater and the Motorola's stopped working after only two weeks. I've had the JayBirds for almost a year and a half and they're still going strong!
First, they almost never fall out of your ear. I do a lot of Crossfit and the only time they start to come loose is when I'm jumping rope for an extended period of time. The "waffles" really help hold them in place.
Next, they stand up to excessive sweat extremely well. I'm in the Army and was deployed to the Middle East for the last eight months, through the summer months when the average temperature was over 120 degrees. And through that heat and my sweat, these headphones still work with zero issues.
They also work okay across a gym. I can set my iPhone down next to a rack and walk around the gym pretty freely without losing quality or the connection.
The only reason that I gave them four stars and not five is because there isn't a battery indicator on them. So you may end up losing music in the middle of your workout due to the battery dying. But honestly, that's more my problem than the headphones - I could have charged them every three or four days regardless of whether or not they needed to be charged.
I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for quality Bluetooth headphones. …

Very well done
I must own 30 sets of headphones. For running i've tried everything but i HATE the cord tangle that goes with all of them. i tri I must own 30 sets of headphones. For running i've tried everything but i HATE the cord tangle that goes with all of them. i tried a few bluetooth versions but they were not stable or didn't stay in the ear or gave pretty poor sound. These guys seemed to have nailed it!
Works well. Fits well (make sure you experiment to get the tips and the wings just right for you). It makes a big difference in the amount of sound that goes in (especially during activity).
Pleasantly surprised with them. Well done Jaybird! They took an extra year to come out but overall they seem well worth it. …

Best BlueTooth Headphone....ever!
I had 2 S9s and 2 S10HDs both died due to sweat. I HATE, HATE Wired headphone because I primarily use my headphone during workout I had 2 S9s and 2 S10HDs both died due to sweat. I HATE, HATE Wired headphone because I primarily use my headphone during workout sessions. This BlueBuds X is by far has the best sound, comfort & battery life. You have to try different ear piece to find what fits for you (takes me a day or two). The sound quality (deep base) rivals any wired headset and there is no 'wearing' fatigue like with other headphones. Most other headphones, I have to max out the volume, you won't have to with this one unless you want to go deaf. As an Electronic Engineer, I am quite impressed with how small the battery is for the 8 hrs of play time. The weight to battery life ratio is quite amazing.
I have iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.1 and I have to DISABLE WIFI so that the music doesn't cutout for a second every so often. This is iOS 6 WiFi, BlueTooth problem and not the headphone's (have similar problem with Wireless Beats also). Google iOS 6 Bluetooth (or Wifi) problems for yourself and see. Come on! Apple you have got to fix this problem or this can turn to the 'iMap' fiasco I can see it now 'iPhone, iPad are great if you don't want to use BlueTooth features). Wireless Beats & BlueBuds work great on Android phones with out any problem so I am certain it's not the headphones. …

The only problem I had with these was when I lost my larger pair of earbuds, there was not ant nearby store that sold a fitting pair. The major downside of these earbuds is that the battery has stopped working for me, the light will show green after hours of charging through my PC and they will power on, but about several seconds into my time, they die, and the process just repeats and I've had no luck with. If not for my battery problems, I'd still be advertising these to everyone I know. Perfect base, clarity, no delay, very flexible, no tangle, sweat resistance (assuming that didn't damage them), and overall just very nice and clean headphones. …

What I wanted in an earbud product R. Review (PART 1)
The JayBirds BlueBuds X Premium Bluetooth Headphones are quite surprising. But of course here is my expeirence with them and some The JayBirds BlueBuds X Premium Bluetooth Headphones are quite surprising. But of course here is my expeirence with them and some personal opinion advice.
(NOTE:) : Advice at the bottom
Sound/: 8.2/10 The bass was very surprising. The bass (depending on the audio file uploaded by the artist) was typically "punchy". meaning the distortion effect or static effects only came in if an individual uploaded the audio file on other sites instead of its original audio form (Sounds good on sites like "Itunes" or "Rapsody" where the artist shines at getting the original sound file to play for listeners to hear at full potential. The bass was so crisp that the sometimes it created an echo. This generally applies to other aspects(Can't give a detailed review because of 300 word limit)
Design: The model just happens to fit in my ear after customizing it(parts come with earbuds watch video for idea)
Durability: Bought these 2 weeks ago (Will give review later as of 03/06/015)
Advice: Wouldn't recommend for plenty of reasons, get "Headphones" not these "Earbuds" if you like a general fit. Buy other brands/models these block out sound around you. Lastly READ READ READ/Research, may post video on YT. …

Best headphones I've had, but be careful how you recharge it.

It's great not having to untangle a cord, the sound is very good, and the distance you can range from the phone while maintaining clear reception is large +/-10 meters (as advertised). The only problem I've had is the battery life, but I learned that you should not recharge the unit using a wall socket or a car lighter (thru a USB adapter) because the charge is too strong. That will burn out the battery. It's best to only recharge it with a computer. …
