I kept the cable always plugged in, so there was no possibility of damage due to bending or abuse. Even though the image was bad, I continued to use it until it was completely useless, which was a mistake because I let the warranty expire (I didn't even know it had a warranty to begin with). I am very disappointed.

Not to mention how much I paid for this cord.

Save your money and find a more reliable brand.

I had it plugged into my Macbook air (mid 2011) it worked great for a few months. I noticed that sometimes I would have to play with it a bit to get a connection. Now its totally not working. I think 50 bucks is a lot to pay for a cable that wont even last for a year. Mind you I unplugged it daily to take my Macbook to school so maybe if your connecting it to your IMAC or something you wont be moving around it may perform flawlessly but it didn't work out for what I needed it for.

Before it broke, I'd sometimes use the cable to stream video to my tv from my Macbook Pro. The part that you insert into the Macbook came completely unattached from the rest of the cord. This product is so cheaply made - it's ridiculous. And terrible. I tried to give it ZERO stars, but this site won't allow that. :(

I bought this product in April. By June, it was no longer working reliably. Today, it is not working at all. This is the biggest I bought this product in April. By June, it was no longer working reliably. Today, it is not working at all. This is the biggest waste of money and Belkin customer service is a joke. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this.....
