shattered screen on Iphone5 BEWARE! spec worked for 4 but not 5
Like Isabell's review, I dropped my phone a mere 1.5 feet from the cement floor,and the entire screen shattered into smithereens w ith this case on. Before purchasing the iphone 5 I only used spec cases --- with no problem for my iphone 4. I used to drop that phone all over the place, and the spec case worked. NOT SO WITH IPHONE 5, the spec offers no protection. I switched to the TECH21 shell case, which seemed a bit more protective in the store and got excellent reviews here online. Hope this keeps what happened to Isabelle and I from happening to you! …

i bought this case thinking it would function as a durable yet sleek case. the very first time i dropped my phone with this case o n, the screen completely shattered and the case offered no protection. it will now cost $250 to get the screen of my iphone 5 replaced-- i know many people who have experienced the same problem. …

Having the same problem, SPECK candy shell on - wifi range significantly reduced, shell off, normal range resumes.
Im reading that there were at least two wifi chipsets designed for the iPhone 5, one from INTEL and one from APPLE itself. The later seems to be the problem child.
