It fits my needs as it provides a bit of a bumper-type grip on the sides of the phone and protects the back while maintaining the white, clean look. (I have a white phone.) Very easy to snap it on, and it looks durable. …

Audio port is too small

It was easy to install and seems to protect fairly well, though I haven't really put that to the test. The main issue with this case is the size of the access holes. The mute switch is difficult (though not impossible) to operate for medium to large fingers. The headphone jack is useless for most standard stereo cables. Apple headphones work fine as the jacket around the plug is very narrow. However, I have yet to find a standard audio cable (for plugging into car, stereo, etc) that will push in far enough to work at all. …

I had gone through 2 cases already (mainly because of bad build quality) and I bought the speck. It is amazing, it looks stylish, feels great in hand, and best of all protects my phone. I would recommend this case to people who want a stylish iPhone case that protects your phone. It looks best on black iphones. …

While I enjoyed it at first, it fell apart to unusable condition in 3 months. The rubber edge quickly frays and falls off, and the plastic pieces around the lightning port and mute switch quickly break. I put my phone through moderate use, it just isn't made to handle sliding in and our of your pocket regularly.
While earpods will plug in fine, most other 3.5 mm cables will not fit through the narrow hole for headphone jack. This requires you to take off the case to plug it in to most car or home theater systems, which in turn speeds up the rate of decay.
This is NOT a high quality case, and is not worth $35. I contacted Speck about replacing my case, and they require you to mail it in for a week before they will issue a new one... leaving your phone vulnerable the entire time. If you enjoy Apple level quality and service, do not buy Speck. …

It looks fantastic and does the job... For maybe a few months.
A lot of the rubber begins to fray and peel off from being handled, pieces of the plastic snap, leaving things exposed and it doesn't look oh so pretty anymore. I was very disappointed because I really did love this case but in the end, I had to get rid of it.
As far as the cost, it's pretty high for a case that can't even survive a year, not to mention Speck's "warranty" that doesn't cover wear and tear. Of course it doesn't. Everyone would be wanting a replacement.
In the end, I bought a case off Amazon for $2 TOTAL. This one has lasted much longer, has a lot more protection to it, and looks like it did the day it came in the mail. …

My advice is if you are willing to sacrifice the quality of your flash for this case then go ahead, but if you don't mind waiting for an iPhone 5s optimised case to come out so your flash works better, pick this option.
