value for money!
nice looking product, and a nice touch as well.
app looks great ,and works very well.
after 3 minutes of working with the Hipkey and app it is a no brainer to use it.
works very well at even a much longer distance (up to 100 meter and more!
the safe zone function is brilliant.

Works as described but many false alarms
Just received today, and most everything works as described except I am experiencing many false alarms and only when the hipkey an d the iphone are in my pocket (hipkey in my front pant pocket and iphone in the back, to be more precise.) As I am walking or even driving in my vehicle, the alarm mode (both phone and hipkey) sounds and silences on its own. Seems something is causing interference or a lost BT signal. So far, I'm not thrilled. …

Lots of false alarms
There's so much about this product to love. The concept. The product design. The great features. The solid construction.
Unfor tunately, I think there's some issues that hopefully can be fixed with future software or firmware updates. Basically, I get lots of false alarms and randoms beeps and alerts.
I even set up a "safe zone" for my entire apartment and a little beyond, but I still got beeps and alerts when I went to the bathroom. I guess the bluetooth couldn't go through the 2-3 walls between my kitchen and bathroom, so it alerted me.
Recently I was sitting in a waiting room before an appointment and it went off twice. One time my iPhone was in my left pocket and my hipKey in the right. The second time my iPhone was in my hand literally a couple inches from my hipKey. I was playing a game, so maybe it interrupted the bluetooth or hipKey app. The hipKey was set to vibrate only, but still beeped, which was a bit embarrassing in a quiet room.
I'm still love the idea of the product and bet that it will be improved with software updates. If you don't mind being an early adopter and dealing with false alarms along the way, I'd get it now. …- Written by Ryan L from San Francisco

Don't waste your money or time!
In theory this would be a great product. I'm not going to go over what its features are since they're in their product description . Sounds great. But I encountered numerous problems. First the unit gave off some false alarms when my iPhone and the key were next to each other. Not safe zone beeps but full fledged alarms. Walking around the safe zone with your phone and the key together produced numerous beeping sounds for no apparent reason. Secondly their support doesn't bother to answer email questions. Probably overwhelmed because the product malfunctions a lot. Thirdly after a week the hipkey just kept shutting off for no apparent reasonafter being fully charged so I just returned it to the apple store for a refund. Buggy with poor support makes this a promising product with too many problems. Don't waste your time or money. …

Wonderful meaningful product
After 10 weeks with hipkey I have come to love the device. hipkey is elegant, easy to use and very reliable in maintaining a conne ction and re-connecting when close to my iPhone. It has nice extra features like the safe zone and motion alarm (detecting instant movements). I'd recommend this great little accessory for everyone. My wife is getting one for Mothers Day :-) …

Can you adjust the sensativity of the motion sensor? When tiggered do it sent one alert or ring till disarmed?
- Asked by Emanuel R from Richmond Hill
- Jan 24, 2013
Answer
No it is not possible to adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor. It has been set to react on a movement equal to someone picking up something from a table. The Motion Alarm can be set up to meet your requirements. E.g. no alarm on hipKey but an Alarm on iPhone or an Alarm on both devices. When an Alarm goes it will sound for a while to ensure it is heard. …
