Great sleeve, fits perfectly
After reading the negative reviews on here, I was concerned the sleeve would be too tight for the MacBook Air 11". I went down to the Apple store to test it with their computers. It fits perfectly! The computer will not slide around but it is also not at all difficult to zip; it fits exactly as it should with a little bit of room on each side. Perhaps the other people were trying to fit a MacBook Pro in the case (which is thicker and would not be compatible) or the 13" Air. Also love the fuzzy inside lining Incase does on all their sleeves. …

Nicely made, light but too tight!
I bought this in black for my girlfriend's June 2012 11" MacBook Air.
It's too tight. It's a struggle to get the laptop in! I'm not saying "snug". This thing needs to be forced over the corners of the laptop to get it closed.
Plus: the metal zipper scares me: I worry that the laptop will get scratched.
Overall: it is well-made but since it doesn't fit well I'm returning it. …- Written by Raj N from NEW YORK

Fits Just Right
I use this sleeve with my mid-2012 11" MBA, which is also in a Speck case (double coverage!). The fit is snug, but by no means too tight.
One tip I can offer for easier use is to put the thicker back-end in first. Also, I use a cloth to cover the keyboard so as to not scratch the screen.
I'm very happy with the product. …- Written by ROBERT B from BENICIA

Doesn't fit
I just saw the review from someone else claiming that it's too tight. I wish that I had read that review before purchasing the sl eeve. It's not practical due to the overly tight case; you cannot get your "Air" into the sleeve without scratching the surface. …

For the new 13" Macbook Pro with Retina-- Do I purchase the regular 13" Macbook Pro sleeve or the one designed for the 13" Air?

Best Answer
The 13 inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display is actually smaller than the 13 inch Macbook Air. The in case sleeve for the Air will fit the retina macbook BUT it will be slightly too large and therefore a bit baggy. I know this because my sister recently bought the Air with the incase sleeve, and when I tried it with my retina macbook, we were both confused as to why it fit her Air better.
If perfection doesn't bother you, then go for the air sleeve and make do. I on the other hand require a perfect fit. Enter the new contender on the market The Côte&Ciel neoprene sleeve designed specifically for the retina macbook. I'm surprised it's taken this long for something like this to come out but there we go.
I am going to purchase this one and see how it fares but am expecting good things given its specific purpose. Hope this helps. …- Answered by Peter C
