When you're done getting one charger after another off amazon...
I was fed up with the cheap chargers that don't charge properly, the kind you can get for a few bucks on Amazon/eBay. I decided en ough was enough. Shelled out the dough to get the Highway pro. Should have done this a long, long time ago. I had a similar experience with the 8mm cord between the phone my car. Shelled out the dough for the belkin 8mm jack. This highway prop charger took my reliability experience to the next level. It's frustrating to charge for hours and walk away with less charge than I had when i plugged it in. Never again. Going strong after 3 months. This highway pro charger is an excellent product. The aluminum cap and connector plays a big part of that reliability i think. …

ITEM SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK!!
This item doesn't work. I tried it with my car several times now to charge my iphone to no avail. I will try to return it to App le. However, I didn't keep the box. So, I am not sure whether they will accept it. It looks really nice and seems well made. However, if it doesn't work it is useless. …

Why would you need to buy the adapter?
Just thinking out loud here, but couldn't you just use the cord that came with the iPhone 5 and plug it directly into one of the USB jacks on this car adapter?
Even buying a second charging/syncing cord ($19) is cheaper than the adapter ($29). Ten dollars is ten dollars... especially today. …- Answered by John S from Throop
