Inner workings

This is a 60-watt, full 2.1 stereo system with FullRoom technology and DSP optimization. A four-inch bass and two one-inch ribbon based tweeters deliver the sound.

Rechargeable freedom

The rechargeable battery gives you complete audio freedom. The speaker plays up to eight hours wired or up to four hours wirelessly per charge.

    Amazing build quality, even better sound

    Not only does this speaker look amazing, it sounds absolutely incredible. It is crisp, has solid bass, and sounds great playing everything from jazz to rap. I love the way you can interchange the speaker covers, too. Really great idea.

    As for the seat up, it's about as easy as you can get - use your USB cable for your iPhone, iPad, etc. and it will share the network settings to get it all set up. That's it!

    As for the portability, it's quite heavy. It's great for moving around the house, on the patio, etc. but this isn't something you would take to the beach. It's a little heavy and obviously pretty expensive.

    If you want great build quality, amazing design and impressive sound performance (and you don't mind paying for it) this is the speaker for you.     …More

    The Play Direct is a nice idea. Airplay was dependable, but the internal components did not perform well. II was expecting better sound for this premium price.

    Setup was a breeze and the easiest I've experienced with any airplay device. Simple and easy instructions, but it comes down to sound quality. I have to give Zipp just an average score, similar to airplay devices costing $150 less. Ilounge has a good review as well so would recommend doing research before shelling out so much money.
