I contacted iHome sup As one of the other reviewers mentioned, my iHome iD99 stopped charging through the docks after a few weeks. I contacted iHome support and they replied very quickly stating that I should use compressed air to clean the docks (which didn't really help) and remove the battery. Once I removed the battery and put it back in, essentially performing a hard reboot, both docks started charging again immediately. It's only been a day since I performed the reboot so hopefully this was a one-time occurrence. As for the clock/radio functions it is a little difficult to navigate; however, the free "iHome Set" App makes it much, much easier. I would suggest downloading that app to your iPhone or iPad as soon as you get the clock rather than trying to navigate the buttons on the device. As for design, Dock 1 doesn't play nice with bigger/thicker iPhone cases so you can always use Dock 2 or the USB connector.

  • Worth it for a first sound dock

    4.0 out of 5 stars

I really enjoy this product. It's the first sound dock I have purchased, I use it as a stereo not a alarm. It is good for a medium I really enjoy this product. It's the first sound dock I have purchased, I use it as a stereo not a alarm. It is good for a medium sized bedroom. The sound quality is pretty good for the price and more than enough considering its size. If you want big sound it will cost you big money.

I got one of these from a big-box retailer and both of the top docks stopped charging my devices after only 2 weeks, only the USB I got one of these from a big-box retailer and both of the top docks stopped charging my devices after only 2 weeks, only the USB port still charges. (iPad 2, iPhone 3GS) I am returning it. Additionally, it is awkward and difficult to connect the iPad onto its dock, it rests only on the connector and the rubber support and is not stable from side to side.

BUT, the one thing I struggle with is the snooze butto I LOVE my iHome iD99 Tripe-Charge Dual Alarm Clock Radio for many reasons. BUT, the one thing I struggle with is the snooze button. All the buttons on top of it are very flush with the frame of the device, and the buttons are very sensitive and all feel the same. So, when you're sleepy and reach over to hit the Snooze buttone, there's no way to distinguish the snooze button from the other buttons. So, just to be safe, not only do I set the alarm clock, but I also set my iPhone for about 30 minutes later JUST IN CASE I accidetally hit the wrong button and then it changes to a different mode or feature and then the snooze doesn't go off as scheduled (which happens a couple times a week). If I could have a resolution to this, I would be extatic because I love it. But the problem I'm having kind of defeats the purpose of having an alarm clock.
    Bummed. :(

I did what a previous user suggested - unplugged, removed battery, waited a bit, put back in battery and plugged back in again. So glad I don't have to get rid of this - it's not even a year old.

Other than the fact that it is very hard to set if you don't use the app, I used to love this - UNTIL it suddenly stopped working Other than the fact that it is very hard to set if you don't use the app, I used to love this - UNTIL it suddenly stopped working with both our IPhone 4S phones. Now, no matter what I do, I get the message that this accessory is not supported by this iPhone. Now it is useless.
