Excellent Drive
This is a high-quality drive, I love it. It looks great, feels great, is solidly built and works well – everything I wanted. I use it mainly to backup my data. It runs nice, cool, and quietly. It also has a power switch at the back, which I find very convenient. …

Great desktop drive
I use one of these drives to back up my desktop machine. It took me about five minutes to set it up, and then it automatically sta rted backing up my files. I leave it plugged in and it backs up every hour, powering itself down when it's not in use. …

This thing looks great on the desk. I have had it for about 7 months now with no issues. The backup software is pretty good (using it with Windows 8) - seems extremely stable and reliable. Hopefully it keeps spinning for years to come. …

Stylish storage device and works like a dream!
I did not trust my 5 year old LaCie and 3 year old WD to secure all data and support reinstallation of all my programs and files a fter replacement of the hard drive on my i-Mac (thanks Apple for handling the recall so efficiently!).
Just to be sure I bought the P'9233 and had it run with my i-Mac for a while. Initial installation was a fast and painless. When my "empty" i-Mac was returned by Apple, I was prepared for the big test.
The reinstallation of all my data and functionality using Time Machine proved to be a wash! All files, e-mails, software, every dot and dash was flawlessly copied to my new hard drive within an hour. Thoroughly impressed! …- Written by Hans W from Katy

Performs as advertised
I love this drive. It's well built, and has awesome speeds with USB3. After having used it for a couple of months, I don't underst and how I used to get along with the old USB2 speeds. I work with a lot of video content and it felt like it took forever to copy movie files through a 2.0 interface. One recent download (around 600MB) finished copying before I could find and start the stopwatch app on my iPhone.. …

Can two computers share the same external hard drive?
- Asked by Kenneth S from Darlinghursst
- Oct 18, 2012
Best Answer
Yes, and no...
Two computers can use the drive, but not at the same time. You'll have to "eject" the drive from the desktop of one computer, then physically unplug it before it can be used on the next computer.
Time machine can store backups for both computers on the drive, but can only do it one machine at a time. …- Answered by Glenn T from Lemont
