Four levels of rugged protection

No. You can't physically plug your iPhone in and transfer pictures. The only way is to download the pictures from your iPhone to your computer, then transfer the pictures from your computer to the hard drive. …More

When used connected to USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port, the FireWire ports are not active.
When connected to a FireWire port first, the USB port is not active.
