no mountain lion support
Terrible to set up. As of 8/8/12 HP does not have dedicated Mountain Lion software (Installer, Utility, etc.). They say to use Sof tware Update, but that fails. I could only get it set up using a USB cable, which is not included! Only with the USB cable could I get software from Apple to get the thing running. Then I had to set it up on my network using the printer itself. …

Good printer
Easy setup. No paper jams. Copier and scanner works flawlessly from Windows PC & MAC. Airprint works well too. My kids' Macbook Pro & iMac could print as soon as the printer was discovered by our WI-FI network and our other Apple products (iPod Touch, iPhones, & iPod Touch) could use the printer after the free HPeprint app was successfully installed on them. I haven't attempted to fax anything yet but that's only because there isn't a phone jack near the printer. I assume the fax functionality will work too since other functions work well. For the money, it's not a bad printer. Yes, it's a little loud when it prints or resets but nothing out of the ordinary otherwise it's silent (No fan noise). On board apps are just OK. …

Great in Canada & U.S.
Bought this printer in Canada and did not set it up till we went to Florida for the winter. It worked great for my iPad 2 that I h ave and my Acer laptop. No problems setting it up at all.
I find mine prints very fast both connecting and doing the actual printing.
Brought it back to Canada when we came home and have no problems what so ever. It prints every time I want it to and from wherever I'm at in the house. Do not know why people are haveing trouble . Could they have a problem with the server they are using for the wi-fi? Maybe for some reason the connection between the two is not happening ??
Would absolutely recommend this printer. …- Written by Linda R from McGregor

A single word for this particular Hp 6600, FAILURE.
I have a a HP6450, a HP6500, and I thought that by buying the 6600 I would enjoy the freedom of AirPrint, I was wrong. The 6600 is a dud. …- Written by eric M from cap-pele
