Very fun to play with.
Extremely durable shell.
Stops automatically if the blade is obstructed.
Easy to replace individual parts.
Easy to understand instruction videos.
Several games for it on the App Store®
Unable to save pictures or videos. - Only pictures via screen shots.
Adjustable max altitude, tilt, and alt increase.
Gyroscope control or directional pad.
A lot of online support.
Easy to use interface.
The battery only last for about 15 minutes and then needs to be recharged.
It doesn't handle well in light or strong wind.
The range isn't as good as i expected. It starts to skip at about 30-50ft, unobstructed.
The charge level lights on the charge indicator didn't work correctly.
After charging for hours and the charger indicated it was charged, when connected the system reported the battery at less than 50%. - The last two problems can be either a problem with the charger, with the battery, or both.
After a couple of crashes, some of the blades became loose and had a slight wobble. I couldn't fix them and it flew fine. It was only noticeable when the blades were spinning.
The indoor haul started to get torn up around the inside edge of the blade enclosures. Presumable because the blade digs into it when something is bumped.
Camera quality was ok. The front camera was about the same quality as camera on the back of an iPod Touch® or the front camera of an iPhone®. The bottom camera was not as good of quality. Reminded me of security videos they show on the news.
NOT good as a spy plane. It makes considerable noise.
While this is a great product. It has much room for improvement. Before buying this you should research other options to be sure it is right for you. …

I had this up and flyig right after the battery was charged. Absolutely fantastic and fun to fly. This is incredible.
So far I I had this up and flyig right after the battery was charged. Absolutely fantastic and fun to fly. This is incredible.
So far I cannot get my android motorola to connect the flight app to the unit. It says it can't find it, but I know that there is some setting lurking out there that I need.
For now I am using my ipad 1 and the free software to control it. Push a button - it takes off and hovers in position. Tilt the ipad and the unit tilts in the direction you do so it goes that way. release the button on screen and the unit levels itself and hovers.
Set maximum alt easily. Set max amount of tilt easilly. Push a buttton and it lands itself straight down.
This thing has enormous fun built in and the camera is fantastic. I haven't tried the games yet because I don't know anyone that has one besides me around here, but I have no doubt these will be a real hit. Especially as the open source apps come online and really open up the gaming.
I used to be a professional pilot. I love this thing …

It Has A Mind Of Its Own

However after only having it for maybe 3 days it decided to take off 10 feet away from me ignoring my controls and it landed itself on the roof of my 3 level home. I had to get a ladder and climb to the top of the roof to get this thing. Then, a week or so later when I decided to test it again it did the same thing maybe 10 feet above my head. I decided to climb, and it went up to probably 300-600 feet where it then banked to the right and got stuck in the TOP of a pine tree. When I contacted the company for help, no reply even months later. I contacted them 10 times at least leaving the same phone number and email as before. Biggest waste of 300 dollars I've ever spent. …

Didn't last very long. Not intuitive at all.
This product was a source of much heartbreak and many lost hours. it has so much promise but does not have any of the ease-of-use This product was a source of much heartbreak and many lost hours. it has so much promise but does not have any of the ease-of-use that one thinks of when one thinks about Apple. It feels like the manufacturer hopes to survive mostly as a platform instead of as a final-product provider. …

I have I have read the payload is approximately 250g (about 8 ounces) and that seems about right.
I have pressed down on the hull of my hovering Drone and the resistance was probably very close that that measurement. However, payloads increase power needs, which increase motor and battery heat and shorten flight-time, and probably shorten the life of motors and battery. They also decrease the stability and flight characteristics.
Examples of payload additions and modifications, including additions of Go-Pro cameras, are abundant on the Internet. …

The Wi-Fi connection is between the Drone and your iPhone (or iPad, etc.). Instead of contro No.
The Wi-Fi connection is between the Drone and your iPhone (or iPad, etc.). Instead of controlling the device with a conventional radio frequency or an IR (infrared) controller (like the one found in many Air Hogs indoor choppers), the control is a direct Wi-Fi connection to the drone. No router is needed, they connect straight to each other. Just before you fly, you connect to the Drone's "network" in your device's settings. …
