Ive had quite a few iPhone 4s cases (2 bumpers, uncommon deflector, Kate spade) and this is by far the best I've seen and used! Th e bumpers get way too dirty and don't protect very well. The uncommon deflector case has no protection and the Kate spade was way to bulky. This speck case was recommended by a genius and I wish I took his advice from the beginning. I've heard that some of the lighter colors get darker so I bought the purple, which looks awesome on the white iPhone. It isn't too bulky and isn't slippery. Yet it protect my phone from falls. I love it!! Buy it!! …

No brainer purchase
I bought this purple Speck case when I purchased my 4S almost a year ago, so this review is not based on a new purchase. Simply pu t, this case works. It’s rugged but not bulky. I have dropped the phone on various surfaces (concrete, asphalt, travertine & porcelain tile, hardwood floors, etc.) through normal travel and movement without damaging the phone or screen. It’s flexible enough to take off quickly if necessary and easily fits back on snugly. I would highly suggest a Zagg invisibleShield screen protector for scratches. The combination of the two has kept my white phone working and looking exactly like it did when I first opened the box. Do yourself a favor; it’s a no brainer purchase. …

Very protective case

The only flaw is that after a few months of use, the color of the case becomes dingy and dark, and despite several attempts of cleaning/scrubbing/soaking, it doesn't seem to go back even close to to its original vibrant color. Purple Speck
I have had the purple Speck PixelSkin HD case on my iPhone 4s for about 6 months and it has been doing its job wonderfully. It is not a bulky case but still offers great protection, I have dropped my phone a few times with this case and has done a very good job protecting my phone. Also, from my experience, the case does a very good job of keeping the back of the iPhone clean and free of scratches!

not included with the case and I can tell you from experience that although the case does not have m uch of a "lip" over the screen, it IS enough to cause issues with an existing screen protector …

The colors online are a bit misleading. The purple one is PURPLE, not blueish and the red is RED.
