It goes perfectly with the Apple 27" LED Display in which it utilizes otherwise wasted space under the monitor. The simplistic design goes well with all Apple products. With only one cable going into an unused USB Port, the Tango Bar minimizes the clutter of having multiple speakers and wires. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was because the $100.00 price tag is rather expensive and the Bass is minimal. Hope this review helps.

Based on the clean look and simple USB design, we wanted these to work for us!! However in the end the JBL Duet 2.0 and Bose Companion 2 which are similarly priced provide a much richer sound!

I tried to find a stand-alone sub-woofer, but had no luck, so I had to return the Tango Bar. Too bad because it really fit perfectly under my iMac.

So I figured the XtremeMac Tango Bar would be plenty good.

    WRONG.

But let me first talk about the look. It's fantastic. The Tango Bar matches my iMac perfectly. It sits right below the screen, reducing clutter and unnecessary wires. That's the good news.

Now on to the sound. It lacks bass. The midtones are fine, but I;m used to the full sound of Harmon Sound Sticks. The Tango has an output for a subwoofer, but I haven't found one that makes this an economical option. Besides, if you're adding a subwoofer it kind of defeats the purpose of the clean, all-in-one look of the Tango. You're better off getting Sound Sticks.

If you just need a nice looking speaker that improves the sound on your computer, the Tango is fine. But if you want good sound, skip this and get the Sound Sticks. Dealing with the wires and subwoofer is worth it.

Bought several versions (portable and stay-at-home). Had nothing but trouble getting them to work smoothly with the MacBook Pro system. Sent them all back. The handsome XtremeMac Tango Bar USB speakers just arrived (much discounted from the retail listed here) and I couldn’t be happier! Smooth integration, sounds fantastic for 10W (really like twice that). Plenty of bass in iTunes and no distortion even using the preamp. VERY LOUD in a large living room if you want and carries well even at low volumes. Used it with Safari (Internet radio), iTunes (playing Brahms cello sonatas), and Garage Band, with excellent fidelity in the latter playing electric guitar, concert piano, and synthesizers of all kinds, input from my external Behringer keyboard. This is the best laptop speaker deal for the money, believe me! Praise to Imation Corporation for this superb piece of needed technology.
