Answer
The monthly service fee for US and Canada is $12.95. Including all of Mexico $15.95 and for complete international roaming the monthly service is $29.95. This includes unlimited zones, locates and notifications.
The red wire connects to an always on power source for your vehicle and the black wire to a ground. There is an optional third white wire that if connected to a fuse that is hot only when the ignition is on you can track idle time as well as engine on and off start and stop times. Perfect for a business daily activity report and to know if your vehicles are sitting idle for long periods of time in the summer with the air-conditioning on. …More- Answered by David M from Mission Viejo

If i was to buy say 2 or 3 and used them outside the US would i have 1 account for all 3 Or 1 account for each divice?
- Asked by Jose L from Mcallen
- May 6, 2012
Answer
Each Locator has an embedded SIM card in it so each device has it's own monthly service charge but you can have as many devices on one account as you'd like. Each Vehicle tracker will come profiled for use in the US and Canada. To add international coverage please call the customer support center at 866-726-7543. A huge benefit of having multiple vehicles or personal locators on one account is to see at a glance where everyone in your family or business is, where they have been and if moving where they are headed. …More

Can the PocketFinder be used indoors? Will it locate a person inside of a building?
- Asked by Laurel S
- Mar 20, 2012
- Asked about: PocketFinder Personal GPS Locator (…
Answer
The answer is, it depends. In order for GPS to work, PocketFinder needs to be able to see the sky. So the more windows a structure has, the more likely the device will locate indoors. For instance, my device works well in my house, but I have a lot of windows. If, however, you're in a movie theater or indoor mall, it you might have more trouble receiving a locate.
Also keep in mind that PocketFinder needs cell signal as well, so if you can't send a text message with your phone, then the device probably won't be able to transmit the GPS location. …More- Answered by Gregory H from Irvine

Can the device be mounted anywhere on the vehicle?
- Asked by Thomas J from Arvada
- Dec 26, 2011
Answer
The device needs to be connected to your vehicle's battery and/or your vehicle's fuse box. In theory, once the device is properly connected to a power source, you can place the unit anywhere that doesn't pose a fire or mechanical hazard.
However, it's important to keep in mind that the PocketFinder devices require GPS to work, which means they must be able to communicate with the GPS satellites. Therefore, in order to receive the most accurate locates, the devices should be installed according to the installation guide which can be found on the pocketfinder.com website. Just click on “Vehicles” and then “Installation Guide” at the bottom middle of the page for more information. You can also contact customer service if you have any other questions.
Regardless of where you mount the PocketFinder Vehicle, you should always check the strength of the GPS and cellular connections prior to completing the install. You can do this by viewing the two LED lights on the device. The green light represents the GPS signal and the amber light represents wireless signal. When both lights stop flashing and are solid, you have achieved a successful connection to the networks. …More- Answered by Gregory H from Irvine
