Great Product!!
I just got this delivered and am typing my review on my new iPad 3rd gen. and I am very pleased. The iPad seats very securely and is easily adjustable. The stand has an LED on the left side of the base that lets you know the power is on. Changing the position of the center arm is a little stiff but you can feel the click as it locks into position. And it come with changeable pads to use for the original iPad as well. I have one of those but have not tried it as yet. Sooo if you have an iPad . . . this is the best stand I've seen. It's a bit pricey but I expect it will outlast my iPads. …

Underrated
I realize this is an expensive product, but it's the most solid, versatile, and professional iPad stand I've seen yet. I received mine today and I'm already amazed. It feels like something Apple would build. Huge props to Mophie for making a useful and quality piece of work. …

I was planning on buying this for the longest time ow that I did I wish I had bought it sooner. Little expensive bought worth it. I definitely recommend to anybody who wants to buy a stand. Mophie makes the best products and this is another example. …

like it even though...
Well, i bought this product and did not read reviews about charging problems.
So it is really good product and i extremely like it, but with a stock charger it does not charge my iPad 3gen if the device is turned on. So i was really disapointed because it is such a great product, so i decided to try my Apple charger which came with my iPad, and it charges. ( it charges very slowly, if iPad is turned on then 1-2 % for an hour but if it turned off then much quicker, maby like 8% for an hour)
But i like this product so much so i am keeping it even if it charges not very fest.

Great, gorgeous iPad stand
Purchased iPad and this stand for visitors to use to sign in at our receptionist's desk. Had to buy the lightening-to-30 pin adapt er so the iPad would connect but it still locks and feels great. Very stable, strong and substantial. Multi angle, portrait or landscape, firmly snaps into place. Charges through the connection then to your computer via USB or to electrical outlet. Very impressive, definite WOW factor, great first impression for new customers, and so cool I bought one for myself to use at home. …

PREFECT FOR ME!
AT FIRST, MOPHIE POWERSTAND CONFUSED ME, I DID HAD A PROBLEM WITH CONNECTOR BUT I FOUND OUT THRU MY HUSBAND THAT I DID NOT. I FELT SO AWKWARD TO PUT MY IPAD IN MOPIE POWERSTAND, AGAIN MY HUSBAND SHOWED ME. I LOVE IT VERY MUCH. IT IS SO PREFECT! YEA IT COSTS BUT WORTHILY BECAUSE IT DOES SUPPORT MY DISABILITY LEFT HAND.

YES IT WILL. you will need the separate apple 30 pin to lightning adapter and it sits maybe 10mm tal ler, but my 4th gen sits happily in my 30 pin powerstand, it works well but the lightning adaptor will come off when you remove the ipad from the stand so pop it back on …

Answer
No, it does not. It is only compatible with the iPad 2 and 3, with the 30-pin connectors, and a 30- pin to lightning connector adapter would not work with the powerstand.
