Great combination of features and easy to use
I already own the original Jambox and I'm impressed with it so much I decided I had to get the Big Jambox. The original is nice ca use I can fit it into my jacket pocket and always have decent quality sound wherever. The Big Jambox does exactly what the original does but has extras; music shuttle control from the speaker, 50% more battery life, and more volume. The speaker connects via BlueTooth which is way more practical for a portable speaker than AirPlay's WiFi. The Big Jambox is about the size of a 2 liter carton of milk so it needs to be carried in a bag and not a pocket. I like the Jambox products better than the BOSE cause of battery life, like it better than the B&O PLAY cause of price, and like it better than the iHome products for sound quality at higher volumes. It has the right combination of features for me. …

Worth every penny
Orininally I purchased the Bose sound link with high hopes. I have been using Bose for quite some time now and thought to stick wi th what I knew. Upon unboxing and testing the Bose unit I noticed after several minutes, a horrible rattle sound, similar to the sound a blown speaker makes. After troubleshooting I indefinitely concluded that I had purchased a faulty unit. Now, be that as it may, I was turned off by the sound link. I was recommended by a sales associate to check out the big jambox. She showed me a sample unit and I loved the industrial look of it. Also I was surprised as to how heavy the unit is. We tested it out in the store and I immediately noticed the big jambox was much louder then the sound link. There was also no rattle, just the sound of crisp highs, pronounced mids, and well, as far as the low end I will say you hear notes probably down to 50 hz but, nothing much lower. Heck, in a unit this size, I was absolutely amazed with the performance it was delivering! I must say that I love this thing, all the way down to how they boxed it up. Another good thing about it is how inconspicuous it looks, I doubt many people will know the true value of this thing which is a good deterrent to possible thieves. That is until they hear how good this thing is... Bluetooth quality has been good with no issue. Battery life is amazing. I just want to end by saying that the big jambox makes me smile every time I turn it on. It makes me feel good knowing that I own such an amazing product. Oh, and don't be surprised when it starts talking to you :) …

Picked it over the Soundlink
I was torn between the Bose Soundlink and the Jawbone Big Jambox which was a relative unknown (to me anyway). I must have played with both of them for over a half hour before finally going with the Big Jambox.
I was amazed at how much (good quality) sound this thing puts out given it's size. The Bose may put out a little more bass, but it can't match the clarity of the Jawbone. Listened side by side, there is a noticeable lack of treble and mid range on the Bose, not so with the Jawbone. It has a very balanced overall sound and man can this thing crank it out.
The battery life was also very important to me and in this aspect there is no comparison...the Big Jambox wins hands down here with just about double the advertised battery life of the Bose.
I haven't played with LiveAudio yet, but I have used the speakerphone aspect of this product and as expected (Jawbone was mainly known for headsets until the Jambox series) it performed very well.
Overall both the Soundlink and Big Jambox are great speakers, but the added features and personal sound preference tipped the scale in favor of the Jawbone Big Jambox. …- Written by Justin H from Webster

Not muddy at full volume
I have owned this for 6+ months and am still impressed with the product. It usually sits in an unobstructed space and fills my 2 000 sq ft with rich sound. For the initial pairing, it's necessary to get within 30 feet or so of the device. After that's done, I can wander around the place with the iTouch in my pocket.
I played with the speakerphone. Cute, but I don't need that feature. The sound really is robust, and the product is solid. The design is intentionally minimalistic. Looks sharp, but I'd rather the buttons were text labeled.
You will certainly be impressed with the volume this thing puts out! (As far as dynamic range is concerned, well, don't get me started on digital.) I seldom use the battery, but other reviewers are impressed.
I let my mother borrow it for a few weeks. She plays classical and jazz, and was impressed. Note, the iPOD Classic does not offer bluetooth, so she needed to use the included 3.5mm cable. …- Written by Gregory B from Albuquerque

Answer
Probably alright it's got a pretty good sound balance, the bass isn't overly pumped like some speake rs. Obviously it's not audiophile quality but it's very good, nicely sharp - I'd be happy listening to classical music on it. …
