The C5's sound spectrum is complete across all levels; the accurate, punchy bass, smooth mids, and the open treble work together to provide for a wonderful listening experience. The passive audio-isolation manages to mask nearly all of the ambient noise around you. The fit of the buds might take a little getting used to with the cord that keeps the buds in the ear, but the adjustment curve is short and worth it; the C5's stay put better than any other bud that I've used.

I listen to all types of music ranging from classical Wolfgang, to Ne-Yo, to B.I.G., as well as foreign artists. I need Headphones that are not orientated towards one genre or another. Being that these headphones are so well balanced, i am able to hear the frictional tug of each string with the bow of the violin. Feel the bass rumbling through my entire body as i play sweat.
These are by far also the most comfortable headphones i have in my arsenal. (Even better than the Klipsch patented oval shaped ones, and those are wonderful) I have worn these to sleep like they were regular form-fitting earplugs.
I also run everywhere i go. I have a very active life style so i need headphones that wont fall out every time i decide to run across the street to catch a light or a bus. With the secure loop, i am able to do just that. And may i add, it is also very comfortable.
(May i add you can headbang with these?!)

The secure loop is a very welcome innovation for keeping them actually *in* your ear. Sound quality is wonderful throughout the full range from low to highs. They do take a few hours listening to really start to sing, but that's normal for audio products.

I bought these The sound of these earphones is amazing, really rich, really crisp and as with most b&w product they look cool as. I bought these to replace my sennheiser ie6 phones as I ruined them by catching my hand on them several times whilst running (won't be using these for working out). Far superior sound quality, had to mess about with the rubber buds to get the right fit at first and they do feel a little weird in the ear to begin with, but they do bed in and you get used to them feeling 'normal' pretty quickly. Can't really complain at anything with them part from they do tangle a little. Definitely recommend them for any audiophile. Just wish the output of the iPhone was a bit better to utilise the power and quality. Using them for music production from a mbp certainly makes them standout.

Bulky, uncomfortable, stiff cord. Wasn't that impressed with the sound, either.

When it comes to music, I only accept the best quality available, thus purchasing high-end audio hardware is also a priority. I'm kind of ashamed of myself, because the first time I heard about B&W was when they released the Zeppelin Air, which I also own (awesome speaker btw). This company's been in the audio game for a long time. The thing about their products is neither they add anything to the music, nor do they lose any of the concept, so as providing an experience as it was imagined by the artist. And they do it amazing. Regarding the C5 I've heard complaints on the secure loop, but for me personally it's really comfortable. There are also some complaints about how quickly the headphones wear out, but so far it seems to hold up pretty nicely, and it seems to be made out of quality materials, so I'm not too worried. I can recommend this product to basically anyone who likes music.
