Thule 32L Crossover Backpack

To be completely fair, there's about 2mm of flimsy padding on the bottom of the laptop sleeve, which isn't enough, and if you put your laptop/ipad outside the sleeve, there is absolutely no padding on the bottom (or sides) of the backpack to protect it.
I'd already taken to keeping my mac in a plastic bag, since the Thule is not waterproof (the zips leak even though the material is said to be waterproof); I've now inserted a piece of 1cm foam to cover the bottom to provide the missing padding. …

Great 17" MacBook Pro Pack

I use it to carry my 17" MacBook Pro to and from work on my motorcycle. They straps are comfortable and there is enough room for all my accessories. There is a nice protected hard shell storage area on the top that's large enough to put my phone, wallet, keys, and anything small I don't want crushed. …

The bag has performed I was looking for a high quality backpack that could hold my iPad and 15" MBP in their own compartments.
The bag has performed very well. I wish there were more small compartments to store things like pens, etc. However there are enough pockets to fit everything. I especially like the pocket on the bottom of the bag to fit my power brick.
Be warned, however, the SafeZone pocket on this bag is NOT removable. That is an error.
It is a bit big for a 15" computer and so when you grab the bag with one strap, it tends to bend a bit, but that's the price you pay for a big bag I guess. …

No better than a cheaper bag
I've always been a fan of Thule. They make great racks but as far as bags go they are just mediocre. There is really nothing spe I've always been a fan of Thule. They make great racks but as far as bags go they are just mediocre. There is really nothing special about this bag that you cant find at MEC for less. The bag is heavy and really doesn't hold much more than a laptop and accessories. The hard shell case up top takes up valuable space and makes opening and closing the bag clumsy, especially if you try to fit in more than a laptop and cable. I also use the outside pocket for keys and wallet but cant anymore because the zipper broke. I've owned this bag for a solid 11 months. It's just an OK bag. I'd give it 2.5 stars. …

Gets the job done
I bought this backpack in 2011 to carry and store my MacBook Pro 13" and my school books, etc. The hardshell case is a great plac I bought this backpack in 2011 to carry and store my MacBook Pro 13" and my school books, etc. The hardshell case is a great place to store my Oakleys while I am in class. The sleeve for the MacBook is snug and holds just fine. There are plenty of pockets and useful storage compartments. The only complaint that I have is regarding the chest strap. Loaded down with books, etc. I liked to use the chest strap to help distribute the weight. The stitching that holds the chest straps onto the pack ripped out. I contacted Thule (actually made by Case-Logic) and they sent me a new pack. The same thing happened a second time. I gave up and ripped them the rest of the way out. The pack has worked just fine, with no issues, since. …
