I am actually very thrilled about the sound this speaker produces but i'll start with the setup.
Speaker setup was flawless - you I am actually very thrilled about the sound this speaker produces but i'll start with the setup.
Speaker setup was flawless - you connect to your speaker by wi-fi with phone or mac and you set it up to connect to your home network and it's ready to be used! No volume controls, no buttons and thank goodness no remotes or dock connectors - i don't want another remote in my house! you can control it by iPhone/iPad/Mac, etc - easy!
Sound quality is impressive! It is very meaty and crisp - it produces more bass than i expected! i suggest you download libratone app for your iPhone so you can setup sound - it makes huge difference, you can go from natural to customized sound setups which NOTICEABLY will be heard. This speaker is louder than i thought - i actually haven't tried to turn it all the way up because i am afraid my neighbors will go nuts, about 3/4 of the volume is plenty in my living room.
now i am thinking of getting another one or two to put them all around my house so i can have even sound all around the house.
Black/Blueberry color is ok while it probably will fit with most rooms/designs i think i will wait for the gray or natural colors before ordering another one, personally i am not a big fan of this particular color since most speakers are black i am simply tired of same black color. …

Best wireless speaker

I was sick and tired of remote controls, and my wife of clumsy amplifiers and cables. This is why we went wireless. This sleek design matches our home perfectly (the cover is actually cashmere!!), and the fact that we can control the music with our iDevices is just.. need and _very_ simple! :)
My only issue is that I cant get the speakers in red. I really wanted that. I can see on the libratone website that they have speakers in other colors in other stores. Would have liked that. …

It's smal I'm the kind of person that almost always feels a bit of buyer's remorse. However, I don't feel any with this speaker. It's small form factor takes up very little space next to the TV. We find it's cloth exterior is pleasantly non techy, which makes it's wireless features that much more surprising. AirPlay set up was very simple. The sound quality is great to my ear; which is something we've struggled with in this large, high ceilinged, and brick walled room. We've had totally stable playback with no dropped signal. It's breathed new life into our old music collection. Thanks apple for AirPlay and thanks Libratone for giving it life. What an amazing world we live in! …

I live in a small 50 M2 condo, max 6 m (and a concrete wall) between wifi router and the speaker , connection is 56 - 71% according to the app but unfortunately the connection disappear very frequently which is very annoying. This happen with iPhone 5 and iPad. I keep hoping for an update that will solve the problem but possibly its in the hardware. A shame since Airplay is really great. …

As punishment for being one of first to buy the Libratone Live for $600 or whatever ridiculous price it was at the time, we are cu As punishment for being one of first to buy the Libratone Live for $600 or whatever ridiculous price it was at the time, we are cursed with the illuminated bird button and its taunting, incessant yellow and red blinking. Long gone are the days of the peaceful while pulsing or solid glow and the music, oh right, the music. I have spent countless hours troubleshooting. Read every word of the owner's manual. Repeated all the appropriate steps hundreds of times. Nothing but silence. I hate this pie-shaped log. What now, Libra posers? What's the fix? Send me a new one. Update the app. Anything, now, help.
There are plenty of wireless speakers out there now from companies you've actually heard of. Please, if you're shopping, do yourself a favor and pick one of those. My Libratone is nothing more than a stylish wedge to hold doors open and collect dog hair in its snazzy fuzzy fabric. …

Good sound. AirPlay issues.

I was willing to pay a bit extra because it's the only thing that fit my space. The sound quality is decent, even outdoors.
The AirPlay aspect simply does not work reliably. I have several other AirPlay devices and they are always available to select on the list of devices. Not the Libratone, I have to cycle the power in order to get it to show up on my list of devices. Hopefully they'll fix this someday with a software update. …
