Not for the 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display
I ordered this case because it said it was for both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I can't speak for the Ma I ordered this case because it said it was for both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I can't speak for the MacBook Air, but as for the MacBook Air with Retina display, this case doesn't fit very snugly. The elastic retention straps at the top of the case barely grab the edges of the computer, and slip off when computer is opened fully while in the case. The case itself is very well made and sturdy. I ended up returning this case and ordering one from the Twelve South website, they make one specifically for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display that's only available on their website, according to the sales associate I spoke with at Twelve South. I haven't received a refund yet because I just sent it back today, the Apple return process is pretty painless though, and I'm supposed to get back the full $79.95 + Tax. I also didn't have to pay for return shipping, I just printed out the return label from the Apple website, attached it to the box it came in, and scheduled a pickup with FedEx. If this case fit the MacBook Pro with Retina display better, I would give it 5 stars. …

This case is really well constructed and looks great, but is too big for the 13" macbook pro w/retina. There is almost a full inch This case is really well constructed and looks great, but is too big for the 13" macbook pro w/retina. There is almost a full inch of space left between the edge of the case and the computer at the top, and about a half an inch on the sides. This means that the elastic holding pieces on the corner barely reach the corner of the macbook, and so it falls out all the time. This also means that while the case may protect the computer from outside stimuli, my laptop is sliding around inside the case, which is no good.
Maybe it's a better fit for the 15" but I wouldn't purchase is again for the 13". …
