I searched a long time for a stand that was sturdy and and light weight. This was the perfect fit. I works perfectly with the Sm art Cover and I have a Belkin hard shell cover on the back of my iPad2 and that is not a problem. It adjustability ranges from straight up (for viewing movies to nearly flat for tying and every variation in between. A truly great product. It's German engineered and well worth the money! …

Amazing! And beautiful, too
This is by far one of the best stands for an iPad - any iPad - whether it is in a case or not. I have a 1st generation iPad in Ap ple's case and it holds that absolutely stable in either landscape or portrait orientation.
The arm is fully adjustable and very secure at the same time. It's easy to find the perfect viewing angle for any task.

Best iPad stand!
This stand is simple and extremely solid. Its made of aluminum; its bottom surface is rubber which avoids the stand and your iPad from slipping from surfaces. Its strongly constructed. I have put my iPad3 on this stand on both positions (vertical and horizontal), and it felt very solid and stable. I LOVE this stand. It will not scratch your iPad because all of its contact points are cover with rubber. Another thing that you need to know --this is not a dock, but you can easily plug the A/C cable to the iPad in either position. Its worth the money because it is made of solid heavy aluminum and rubber, and NOT plastic. …
