Most Bang for your Buck
I'm a little shocked no one has reviewed these yet. I've had them for about a year now and these have been my favorite headphones to use. Amazingly crisp clear highs with solid bass. For the price, there is not a better set of ear buds out there. Make sure you take a close look at these before purchasing anything else. …

Taking Advantage of Apple's 14 Day Return Policy and.......
I had the Apple in ear headphones with mic for a week. Now, I turned them in with my receipt and upped the ante by getting the Kl ipsch Image s4i, and have some observations of both.
To summarize: They're both terrific headphones with cause for nervousness.
1. Since sound is subjective, all I will say is that both sound great, but the Klipsch definitely has a more pronounced bass.
2. There is no echo sound due to the wiring hitting your body with the Klipsch that is so annoying with Apple's headphone. You can also chew gum while listening with Klipsch, not with Apple.
3. The wiring on the Apple kind of made me nervous, but the Klipsch REALLY makes me nervous; it is thin, and you must use extreme caution when putting them on or taking them off. The tip is not reinforced like the Apple, and could go out at any time if not careful. I would not stick the iPhone in your pants pocket with it plugged in and sit down. Also, the Apple is easier to put on to get the optimum position than the oval shaped plug of the s4i.
4. Klipsch has a two year warranty; Apple one year. Apple can do an exchange at the store within warranty if you buy it there, Klipsch must be contacted, can't do an exchange at the Apple Store.
5. Klipsch exposes the flaws in recording more than Apple. Some songs I'll have to erase or find another recording.
6. With the s4i, classical music sounds deeper, rock and country with more bass but with clarity in the mid and high ranges, and jazz and new age sounds well balanced. Apple is more neutral, even keeled throughout the ranges. With Klipsch, you will have to play with your iPhone's equalizer more than Apple, depending on the genre.
7. The mic/control on the Klipsch is more solid and works better than Apple, and the placement is in the center, not on the right side.
So, I will have to make up my mind within the 14 day period. It's six of one and half dozen of the other. You have to handle each with care. …- Written by Edward Y from Fort Lee

Good sound quality and comfort. A little bit overpriced.
Pros:
The sound quality on these headsets is very good.
The sound is clear and rich.
They are very comfortable, it was easy to find a good fit.
The mic works pretty well with my iphone 4. The mic buttons are responsive and easy to use.
Cons:
The bass is kind of too rich (too much bass) for my taste. I solved this by using the "bass reducer" EQ on my iphone 4 settings.
In the design department there is no fashion statement here. The material used seems to be generic and I personally do not find them aesthetically desirable.
For $100 I would expect a better design and higher quality materials.
Read below to have an idea how these compare to the Apple in-ear, and the popular Skullcandy 50/50

Excellent headphones
I've got the Reference S4i ear buds.
It took me a week of riding the train to figure out how to put these into my ears to get t he best sound. Once you do that, they are awesome!
They come with 4 different sized of ear piece.
The trick is to find the size and position of ear piece that will form the seal in your ear canal. Until you do that you will just get tiny sound. When you can't hear the outside world is when you've got the right fit. Then you can even listen at super low volume and still hear the full bodied sound.
I found that the only way they fit me properly is to use the insert as normal and turn until the stems are almost pointing straight up method. The brief instructions do suggest this, but I over looked it as silly. Why rotate the ear piece 180 degrees from hanging down then loop to cord over your ear? Because it works in a lot of people's ears! I allows the proper seal to form, keeps the ear piece from falling out and relieves cable noise and strain.
Awesome sound for little money once you get the right fit! They truly are the best in class for the $70 range. …- Written by Mike R from Calgary

Not worth the money
Very disappointed I chose to go with these head phones. My biggest complaint next to the price is the location of the remote. If y ou wear you phones under you shirt or jacket as many do, the remote will be half way down your chest making it useless. I've had them 2 weeks and the remote is already not working at times. The sound just isn't $100 quality either, maybe more like $60. Only positives I have is that the non-tangle cord is great and they look sleek. Not awful headphones, but terrible for the price. …

Sounds good, not comfortable (IMO)
I know it's personal preference but I couldn't get these headphones to be comfortable. I always felt like I was listening to my m usic in an echo chamber. The earbuds always found their way out of the ear canal during my workouts. I was constantly adjusting the fit. I tried all four of the different sized tips. The final straw that convinced me to return these was when the remote shorted-out while running on the treadmill. I replaced these after 2 weeks with the Bose SIE2i and was very happy that I did. …
