    Good product with a few serious flaws

    Generally does what it says. Looks nice. Alarm functionality is solid and radio reception is strong. Excellent sound for an alarm clock, although mediocre by dedicated speaker-dock standards in this price range. Bluetooth stereo works well, but bluetooth device control via the iHome sleep app does not work consistently - I frequently power-cycle the bluetooth on my iPhone to re-establish a connection.

    Here's a big caveat, and the reason this device gets three stars rather then four from me: iHome did not do a good job establishing unique infrared remote codes for this product. In my bedroom, along with the iA100, I have a media setup that includes both an Yamaha receiver and a mac mini that I use as an HTPC (mostly running Plex). So far I have found:

    1) The "Power On" command for the Yamaha receiver interferes with the "Power" command for the iA100
    2) The Apple Remote for the mini interferes with the "Sleep" and "Snooze" commands.

    Having the iA100 turn on every time I fire up the receiver is a pain, and while I can control the Mac mini through other means the interference with the Apple Remote is especially baffling for an Apple-centric product like the iHome. In any event, have some caution if you intend to use this product in a room with other infrared-controlled devices!     …More

    Snooze turns off!!

    The sound was impressive and all seemed great until I realized that the snooze cancels itself if you snooze for more than an hour. This function doesn't make any sense. I could see turning the alarm off if it goes off uninterrupted for an hour but to have it turn off if you are snoozing for that long doesn't make sense.

    If you are one to get out of bed without snoozing or after a single snooze this is great but if you ever have a lazy morning where you might snooze for an hour be warned that the alarm will just stop going off without further warning.     …More

    Alarm clock and it's features are lacking.

    Looks nice and generally does what it says but alarm clock functionality is weak. Display brightness controls is too coarse and is too bright for a clock in a dark room. I expect most people sleep in a dark room, it won't be with this display even on it dimmest setting. Radio reception is good, so is the sound (for an alarm clock). The iHome sleep app does not work consistently, the control within the app (sleep/wake volume) are poor - it seems that the designers did not consider hardware/software interoperability when designing this unit. …More
