Better than you can imagine

They have an adjustable subwoofer, and you can go from zero bass to "feeling your insides vibrate" bass. There is no distortion when maxed out on volume in all areas, actually they seem to get clearer (always crisp, never "tin can" sounding) the louder you crank them. I have tried at least a dozen "headset/ computer" speakers, some that were more than triple the price and some that were comparable. They do not look great in pictures, almost cheap, but in person, they are stunning and solid. The unique design is very minimal modern. I move them around my house with my airport express, and people ask me what they are (they have no idea they are speakers unless they are on) They are so versatile, I will plug them into my ipod, iphone, itouch, the computer, the airport express, anything with a headset jack, and I have an incredible stand alone stereo system. If you can't tell, I love them. Just try them, if they don't shock you and win you over, you can always return them, but I highly doubt that will happen. …

I've used them with an eMac initially, then a macbook, then had several iMacs come and go since then, but these speakers have continued to perform flawlessly throughout. They are used almost daily as I listen to music on iTunes, CD's, or internet radio with them at work. I haven't touched the subwoofer in years but the little blue light in it is still on, letting me know all is well way back under my desk behind the many other items that have become rooted there over the past eight years. Very happy with this purchase. Mine must be an earlier version than the current HK SoundSticks III as the bases on my satellites are silver colored. …

Great sound with plenty of power for sub woofer speaker.
I loved mine when I got them when they first came out. The only problem was in the sub woofer adjustment knob. After a year or so I loved mine when I got them when they first came out. The only problem was in the sub woofer adjustment knob. After a year or so the connection started to not connect the sound and I had to jiggle it and put tape around it to hold it in place. Some form of defect in the circuit. That was about 8 years ago. I hope they have fixed it by now. If not, they need to look at it. Otherwise , really great speaker sound. …
