    This product is perfect for my storage habits, and is everything I needed in an external hard drive. I backed up my macbook pro through time machine onto it, around 80GB in 20 minutes, and I use the device to play Blu-Ray video files on my PS3!     So far, it has been a good experience with Prestige desktop hard drive. My iTunes library is always expanding and I needed a 2 TB which I have bought a couple of weeks ago and is working good. This is only a week old and so far there has been no problems on its installation or use. Got to appreciate that a workable and roomy drive is available at less than 100 USD. …More

    It was a birthday gift to my son. He wanted a 1 TB for a long time now. He is mighty cheered now and only preferred a blue or red instead of a gray, still likes it and says it is “pretty cool”.. I already have a Minimax 1 TB for myself and it’s going fine. It’s just plug and play, well-suited for his Macmini, and was a convenient choice.     worked good at first....

    I purchased this about a year ago for extra storage for movies and music, so i could save the 500gb internal drive on my macbook for core applications. At first this drive was amazing, it was fast and it had the cool LED indicator on the side to show you if it was active or not. For a couple weeks now I have been having trouble like others I have read. The connection on the back of the drive where you plug the USB cable into is very poorly constructed and has become loose. The drive works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. When using it I randomly get a message that I "incorrectly removed a drive" but in fact I haven't even touched it. I am very meticulous when it comes to my electronic devices and I take very good care of them. To make matters worse the customer support for Iomega is one of the worst I have ever come across. I do not recommend this device unless the user is an extremely careful person. …More

    I used this hard drive for all my pictures and movies on my 3 months trip in India. It worked six times, but when I tried the seventh time it wont mount. Got a new cable from Iomega, but that didn't do the trick. Now I've lost 8000 pictures and 20 hours of film from my India trip. …More
