Amazing

I own both the solo's and the solo HD's. I must say that the Solo's are a good pair of headphones, but the sound quality can get muddy. The low end is very over powering, but with the new SOLO HD'S the sound quality is very even and balanced out. I love these headphones, and the support a good cause. I would normally say to just buy the beats by dre studio headphones, but these are giving them a run for their money. The solo HD's are an amazing pair of headphones to workout with, lounge around the house with, and PRODUCE music with.

The one thing i do not like about the solo's are the fact that they break really easily, and it scares me a lot, but monster told me that they cover it! So, with that being said, I would recommend these headphones to anybody who loves to listen to music. …More

These headphones are, well, lets break it down.

Sound Quality - 8/10
The sound quality on these headphones are good, definatly not the best out there, but they are a nice quality. You get great bass out of the newly designed drivers, and they are a nice step up from the regular solos. I'm a worship leader/musician, so I find it easy to pick out one track and hear it over other instruments. I will say that it is quite easy to do that with these headphones, but they seem to fall short on higher treble pitches. They just seem to overpower the bass, but a trebble eq fixs it (mostly...).

Construction - 6/10
The construction of these is extreemly poor, to be honest. The ear pads on mine have slight holes in them, and aren't as firm and stable as they used to be. They are a step up from the solos when it comes to the gloss finish (harder to scratch), but they are extreemly creaky and feel like they would break if you were to put them under any pressure.

Practicality - 7/10
Style is the big deal with these headphones. They are beautiful. Hands down. Now, if you wan to use these for studio headphones, they work, but REAL studio headphones work a lot better for that senerio. I also have to hide these in the glove compartment if leaving them in the car, and I am afraid to take these to public places besides the airport. They are just too pricy to be walking around with (logos and all). I don't think these are the most practical investment for those who are on the move alot.

Comfort - 9/10
These might be the most comfortable headphones I've ever tried on, next to the studio beats. The ear pads give great support, seal, and "fake" noise canncelation through the strong seal. The only complaint is that after a couple hours, they headband can start to hurt, a little, and, it seperates your hair into two halves. :)

Pros - comfort, extra bass, style, product red donation
Cons - price, 'ok' sound quality, theft, constuction

Personally, I don't mind them. Theres days I love them, and days I've wanted to return them. I've convinced serveral friends to buy them, and they all love them.

I do think you pay a little too much for the logo on the side, these could be priced at $100, but, nonetheless, if you are careful with them, they are a worthy investment …More

I have gone through three pairs of solo hds and they all have had defects after a week or so. I have taken great care of these headphones but they some how seem to break and i don't even put them in bad conditions. The first pair I had an ear cup problem, the second the bass was only on one side and the pair i have now is giving me a bass problm i don't recomend them from my experience …More

These headphones are amazing! I listen to just about everything, from Dub Step, to Hardcore rock, to acoustic, to indie, and they all sound good! My only complaint is how they handle hardcore music. The headphones dont manage these extremely well, but i can't complain! I love them! My other complaint is that when it can get louder, the sound escapes a little, but not too much!
