You can purchase your items online and pick them up at an Apple Store, or ship them directly to your doorstep. Here you'll find everything you need to know about pickup, shipping, and much more.

Shipping & Delivery

Apple uses the best carriers in the business to make sure your order gets to you on time. From the Secure Checkout page you'll see your item description, price and Ships time.

Ships Time

The 'Ships' time is an estimate of when the item will leave our warehouse. For example, if an item displays "Ships: Within 24 hours," the item will leave our warehouse within 24 hours after you place your order. While Apple works hard to ship every order as quickly as possible, personalized, custom-configured, and more popular items may have longer Ship times.

Occasionally, we will confirm ship and delivery times, then learn we are unable to fulfill the order due to low product availability. In these rare cases, we will notify by email of the new ship and delivery times.

Items ship as they become available. Once the item leaves our warehouse, the shipping method you choose on the Checkout page determines when shipped items will deliver to your shipping address. You can ship each item to a different address, and choose up to 15 different addresses per order.

Shipping Methods

Once the item leaves our warehouse, the Shipping Method you choose on the Checkout page determines how quickly your shipped item delivers to your doorstep. You can choose a different Shipping Method for each item on your order.

    Shipping Methods:

    • Guaranteed Standard Shipping → Delivers within 5 business days*
    • Guaranteed 2 Day Shipping → Delivers within 2 business days
    • Guaranteed 2-3 Business Day Shipping → Delivers within 2-3 business days
    • Guaranteed Next Day Shipping → Delivers within 1 business day
    • Guaranteed Next Day Shipping, before noon → Delivers before noon the day after the product is available

    *Items shipped Standard via United States Postal Service deliver within 5 to 7 business days after shipping.

    Puerto Rico:

    • Average transit time is 2-5 days.
    • Carriers deliver to Culebra and Vieques twice per week.
    • Overnight shipping is available to some zip codes for an additional cost.

Shipping Cost

If your order totals more than $50, you'll receive free standard shipping in the United States. The cost for expedited shipping is calculated and displayed on the Checkout page before you complete your order. Please note that applicable shipping fees apply to Apple Print Products.

Personal Pickup

You can select an Apple Retail Store to pick up of most items purchased on the Apple Online Store.

If this is your first time selecting an Apple Store, our product pages will display Available for Pickup with a Check availability link. Simply click the link, enter the zip code where you'd like to pick up the item, and click the Search Stores button to check availability.

If you’ve previously selected an Apple store, our product pages will display Available for Pickup with your previous Apple Store location. You can click the See more stores link to check pickup availability at a different Apple Store.

Once you're ready to purchase, select the Pick up button on the Checkout page. If you would like to change the pickup location, click the Change store link.

If you would like someone else to pick up your items, select “Someone else will pick up these items” in Pickup Details on the Checkout page.

To pick up your items in an Apple Store, you will need to bring the card used for payment, or the order number and a valid photo ID. If you have designated a Pickup Contact, they will need to bring the order number and a valid photo ID.

Items marked Available Today will usually be ready for pick up within an hour. You'll receive a Pickup Notification email when each item becomes available. Please wait for the Pickup Notification email before coming to the Apple Store.

What's Next?

Once your order is placed, Apple provides information on your order by email. The type of email you receive depends on whether you chose to have the items shipped or picked up. If you have multiple items on your order, you may receive additional emails for each item.

Order Acknowledgement Email

The Order Acknowledgement email provides a summary of all the items on your order. If you are shipping an item on your order, the Order Acknowledgement will display the shipping address and a Delivers date link. You can click the Delivers date link to view your order status in online Order Status.

For pickup items on your order, the Order Acknowledgement email will display the Apple Store location. If you have designated someone to pick up your items, the Order Acknowledgement email will also display your Pickup Contact.

Shipment Notification Email

We'll send a Shipment Notification email when the item ships from our warehouse. The Shipment Notification email includes the carrier name, tracking number, and a Delivers by date. You can click the tracking number link to track your package on the carrier's website.

For an Apple Store Gift Card by Email, we'll send you an email notification once we send the gift card to the recipient.

Pickup Notification Email

Once your items are available at the Apple Store, we'll send a Pickup Notification email.

To pick up your items, you will need to bring the card used for payment, or the order number and a valid photo ID. If you have designated someone else to pick up your items, they will need to bring the order number and a valid photo ID.

Pickup Reminder Email

We'll send a Pickup Reminder email if all of your items have been available for two days.

Text Notifications

Apple Notifications is a text-message-based alerts service designed to keep you up-to-date on your shipment and/or pickup notification status. In addition to standard email notifications, you can also request text message updates when you're in Checkout. The number of messages you'll receive will vary depending on the orders you placed.

What to Expect

Once your order ships, or is available for pickup, we'll send you a text message. The text message will include your order number and a link to the tracking or pickup store information. We can even send you texts the day of delivery or after your item has been 'delivered,' depending upon your shipping method, country and carrier. Depending upon your order, you may receive between 1-4 text messages per shipment on your order. Texts are sent between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. in your time zone.

Supported Carriers

The supported carriers are: Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cricket, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin Mobile USA.

How to change my text message preferences:

You can edit your mobile phone number at any time by logging into your account and editing the Shipment or Pickup Notification preferences for your order.

Delivery Options

Apple chooses which carrier will deliver your shipment, and some of our shipments require a signature. Your Shipment Notification email will tell you whether a signature is required. The carrier will make three delivery attempts before returning the items to Apple. Once your order has prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address.

If you are unavailable to provide a signature, Apple offers three easy options for you to receive your package.

Option 1: Pre-sign with Apple

There are two ways you can Pre-sign for your shipment:

  1. Click the Pre-sign for this shipment link in your Shipment Notification email

  2. Visit online Order Status and click the "Pre-sign for this shipment" link

Complete and print the Shipment Release Authorization form. Leave the form on your door for the carrier, prior to 8:00 a.m. on the day of expected delivery.

You can specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, or building manager). If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

If you'd like to pre-sign for more than one shipment, simply print, sign, and leave a Shipment Release Authorization for each package.

For safety and security reasons, all deliveries are subject to the driver's discretion. If you are unable to access the Pre-sign Form, call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 and let us help!

Option 2: Sign to release your shipment to your address, an immediate neighbor, or a building manager

If you did not pre-sign for your package through Apple, and you were unavailable to provide a signature, the carrier will leave a Delivery Notice on your door after the first delivery attempt.

You can sign the Delivery Notice, specify a preferred delivery location (e.g., front door, back door, immediate neighbor, building manager), and leave the notice on your door prior to the next delivery attempt.

If you provide an address other than the one specified on the package, someone must sign for the package.

Option 3: Pick up package at carrier's local facility

After the first delivery attempt, you can request to pick up your package at our carrier's local facility. Call the number on the carrier's Delivery Notice and inform the carrier you'd like to pick up your package in person.

To pick up your package from the carrier's local facility, you'll need:

  • The Delivery Notice

  • Government ID (driver's license, passport) that matches the package name and address

  • Second ID with your name on it (credit card, social security card)

The carrier can release the package only to the person included on the shipping address.

Shipping Policies

Shopping in the U.S.

The Apple Online Store US ships items within the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. No shipments can be made to PO Box addresses, United States territories, or addresses outside of the United States. You may not export any products purchased at the Apple Online Store.

Sales to U.S. territories

We are happy to ship your order to a friend or family member residing within the 50 United States if your billing address is within one of the following United States territories:

  • American Samoa
  • Armed Forces Africa
  • Armed Forces Americas
  • Armed Forces Canada
  • Armed Forces Europe
  • Armed Forces Middle East
  • Armed Forces Pacific
  • Guam
  • Northern Mariana Islands
  • Palau
  • U.S. Virgin Islands

Simply shop at the Apple Online Store U.S. with the payment method of your choice, and we'll ship the order to any address within the 50 United States.
