    Always Break

    • Written by from St. Simons Island

I always have to end up buying a new one about every 2 months because they either randomly stop working or the connection between the cord and the tip breaks.

    Worst Apple Product Ever!

    • Written by from West Palm Beach

This is my second cable that I have to purchase in less than 6 months. Apple charges us so much for the product and then forcing us to buy a terrible built cable every 4 to six months. That is wrong Apple! Wrong!

    I LOVE MY APPLE TEAM!

    • Written by from HUMBLE

I just called because recently i discovered my 2m Iphone 5 charger detached from the cable. I purchased this back in November 2014, never had problems. The only problems I had when my 13 y.o sister in law would borrow it, she would bend it sideways not leaving it to charge. So that may have been a factor I am not sure. When I seen the detachment and I gave Apple a call and in no time they said they would send a replacement. It pays to have Apple products because When my service provider can't provide me w insurance I pay for , Apple will.

    Substantial cable/great product

    • Written by from Pleasant Grove

There are a lot of poor reviews for this cable but I think that they are greatly exaggerated. I got this cable a couple months ago and it has held up extremely well. I think Apple has listened to the earlier reviews that talked about how flimsy it seemed to be. This is the thickest lightning cable I've ever owned. It is considerably thicker than the cables that come with the iPhone. If you want a well-designed cable that is substantial and longer this is a great option.

Still using my iPhone 5 cord!

    • Written by from PANAMA CITY BEACH

I don't understand how people are messing these cords up. I got the iPhone 5 on opening day! I used it on my 5S and still using it on my iPhone 6. My 7 and 10 year old had iPad mini's a couple years ago and they still use those charger for there iPad air's. Now my 2 year old has one of those iPad mini for about a year. He hasn't messed up the charger yet. I really think its just an operator error : ) Let me guess everyone who's complaining has broke their screen to lol

    Absolutely Horrible

    • Written by from Newtown Square

If I could give this negative stars I would. I have to order another one because mine is broken once again without doing any damage to it. The quality of this product just decays overtime. The wire breaks causing it to not charge my phone anymore, this happens after using it frequently for months. It is very annoying because phone chargers should be reliable.

    You are all so preposterous.

    • Written by from Watauga

You do not know how to take care of your cables. I've been using the same cable from my iPhone 5. If you can count, that's three generations of iPhone I've used it with since I now own a 6 Plus. It is not dirty, it is not bent; it is just as it was when I got the iPhone 5. Learn how to take care of your things and stop complaining and blaming Apple.

    As always, the best!

    • Written by from Provo

I have had the same cable since I purchased my iPhone 5 two years ago. Still works perfectly. I made the mistake of buying cords other than Apple so I would have extras for my car, my second computer, travel, etc. Every single one I have purchased is now in the garbage, but my Apple cord is still going strong. I do not know why there are so many negative remarks here. Maybe they are hired by "the other brand" to make Apple look bad. I love everything Apple because it has never let me down. Highly recommend this cable!

    This accessory not supported

    • Written by from Reseda

I bought this cable as I did not realize that they make a 6ft cable until recently. Got it and plugged it in to my iPhone 6+ and after a couple minutes get the prompt "this accessory may not be supported" What the heck?!?! This is directly from the Apple site... I cleaned port and tried again... still the same prompt... used my other 3ft cable... no problems at all... went back to the 6ft and prompt again appears... if it isn't falling apart; then its just faulty... come on Apple... my friends thought me spending $29 on a cable was crazy to begin with...

    The worst cable ever

    • Written by from Edmonton

Apple should be ashamed of such a lousy product, the plastic coating around the neck of the cable is frayed exposing the inside wiring, and this is only after a few months of in-home use'

    Worst cable ever!!

    • Written by from Albuquerque

I don't believe there is a single lightning cable out there that is reliable over a long period of time. Get rid of this apple and go with a standard cable like a MicroUSB!!

Overpriced, Poor Quality Cable That Just Stops Working

    • Written by from College Park

My third $29 Lightning cable just stopped working. This is maddening. Apple is supposed to be synonymous with quality, but these overpriced cables are very poorly made. Apple should allow customers to trade in these bum cables for new ones if they stop working within a year of purchase.

I recently bought an off-brand cable at Walgreen's that, so far, is holding up better than the Lightning cables. It was about $10 cheaper.

FYI, originally I used a 4-letter, non-swear word (begins with a "c" and ends with a "p") to describe these cables, but Apple wouldn't permit the use of that word in this review.

For $30, this cable is awful.

    • Written by from Fox Lake

From the time I purchased this cable, if I jiggle the cable just a little bit, the phone stops charging. Knowing that none of my other 3 cables have this problem, I knew it wasn't my phone input and took the cable back to the store to exchange it for another one. I exchanged it for the same exact type of cable and took it home and it does the same thing. I am no longer a fan of Apple products. You lack quality and up-charge everything you make. Make a change.

    Rubbish cables

    • Written by from North shields

I have had I Pad for nearly 3 years, first year with cable fine, the last two year must have had about six cables at £15 to 25.99 a cable proves expensive, I now need yet another one, so at the moment using a borrowed one until I can get out, which means more expense with all the traveling cost, I was thinking of renewing I Pad, but thinking I might go Samsung see if that is any better than Apples cables.

    No Problems

    • Written by from Plattsburgh

This cord works fine. The extra length in the 2m version is handy. The only issue i ever had with the lightning connector is if pocket lint gets in the phone connection port and then the cord will not seat properly preventing charging. I cleaned out the port with a tooth pick and everything was back to normal. Every once in awhile I check the port and blow it out and no problems.

bought this around the end of December and a little more than 3 months later it's already broken. I should not be paying $30 dollars for something i NEED that cant even hold up for half of a year.

I've bought the 2m cable and have had it for more than 2-3 months. It works perfectly, very portable, long lasting. Strongly suggest this item.
