    Not drinking the Kool Aid

    • Written by from Victoria

I have a lot of Bose increasingly become unhappy with their products as they move more and more to manufacturing off shore and just slap their name on poorly made junk. I bought this because I read several glowing reviews from so called trade experts, but again, very disappointed. It links up inconsistently with my iphone, macbook and ipad, sometimes seamlessly, other times at a glacial pace. I also don't think the sound is as good as it should be, it is certainly pretty good but I have better speakers with more range. The charging device is a pain, because it essentially renders the speaker only semi portable. Not a disaster but Bose is slowly selling off their credibility in pursuit of mass market appeal, and I'm pretty much done with them.

    Disable auto switch off

The major and only complain about this device is the lack of standby mode. It will switch off completely after minutes of inactivity.

    Can't control the Bass

    • Written by from Venice

I probably shouldn't complain but the bass over powers the mids and highs. Can't reduce it so everything I play soundtrack bassy. If I can't find an EQ that can balance my Pandora and music library I'll have to return it. The rest is good

    Not worth the price

    • Written by from Minneapolis

I listened to this and to the UA Boom mobile speakers in a local Apple store. This one is better than the UA Boom - It was horrible! I couldn't even believe they were asking 200 dollars for that thing after hearing it! This one sounds way better than that one...but still really not worth the price tag in my opinion. I'm hoping the quality of sound goes up to warrant this sort of price. I'm willing to pay extra bucks for something that knocks my socks off....but most of the current $199 line up just DOES NOT do that! I found that for the audio quality I wanted it was $300 plus and larger hardware. Hope the situation improves in the next year!
