Front camera settings such as white balance, saturation and exposure can be adjusted to scene you want to shoot
Post production options developed especially for the AR.Drone 2.0 videos are available to stabilize the video on your iDevice. Choose the rate of correction that fits and it creates a new additional version of the video directly visible from the app. It is also stored into the Camera Roll.

FLIGHT RECORDER COMPATIBILITY
To use all the features linked to the Flight Recorder, you need to plug it above the battery. It is extremely important that the Flight Recorder is exactly just above the battery and not elsewhere to get the best of it. Please check our videos on www.parrot.com
A new piloting mode has been developed. When you click on the earth icon on top right corner of the piloting interface, a map appears on the screen. This is the map around your location. Choose a point on the map, set the speed, set the altitude and click “GO”. The AR.Drone 2.0 starts its flight to get to this point. The AR.Drone 2.0 stays within the Wi-Fi range from your iDevice.

Review in 3D all your flights made with the Flight Recorder connected to your AR.Drone 2.0 on the AR.Drone Academy map.
Get a better stabilization for the static point when you fly in high altitudes thanks to the GPS positioning of the Flight Recorder.
The Flight Recorder registers more than 350 different flight data.
Stuck in a tree? Just try the “Rescue mode” directly from the piloting interface to try to unblock the AR.Drone 2.0 from the branches. Even if it is upside down, the propellers will spin so you have new possibilities to make an action while your AR.Drone is not reachable.

Great Helicopter Lots of fun
I'm an Avid R/C pilot and I found this Copter to be very well Built. I'm really impressed by the technology built in to it too. be I'm an Avid R/C pilot and I found this Copter to be very well Built. I'm really impressed by the technology built in to it too. beginners will have an easy time getting in the air while experienced R/c Guys will be able to fly it around like any other Quad copter out there. This is also more durable than other Quads I've flown. I have bashed it into walls and lamp posts and it kept going! This is a great way to get your feet wet with FPV, Arial video and Arial photography. The App is great too, giving you the abilty to adjust a number of parameters to customize the heli to match your skill level and interests.
There is also a lot of support on the web from Parrot themselves and also from a lot of enthusiasts. …

I owned the AR Drone 1.0, and compared to that, the 2.0 is a lot easier to fly. This is mainly because the newer version has a built in compass that allows it to orientate itself relative to the pilot. The controls are intuitive and can be fine adjusted to how you want to fly the drone. The built in barometer allows it to stay stay stable at higher altitudes (This thing can go high!) and this is another improvement not found on the last version of the drone. There's even a gps module available that supposedly makes the drone even more stable, though I have not tried it myself. Oh, and if you really want to impress your friends, this drone can do flips! The camera quality is good, and I like the social aspect Parrot has included into the app allowing you to share flight videos with other AR Drone owners. In general, it looks cool and flies better than expected. I would definitely recommend this! …

Great product; has opportunities.
The ArDone 2.0 is fantastic for what it does, but the opportunities is has lays in overall functionality and app performance. I fo The ArDone 2.0 is fantastic for what it does, but the opportunities is has lays in overall functionality and app performance. I found issues with connectivity, the Drone not executing commands via the app in real time, and an issue with the product support page by the manufacture. Even worse, the manual is horribly written and severely lacking.
The support page needs to be redone, there are a countless number of issues with the site: missing pictures (for visual learners), outdated information, and a lack of information thereof. I returned the product because I was running into to many situations where support was needed but no where to be found. …

POOR rating! Needs much improvement.

The drone often hesitates before performing a command or sometimes does not recieve the command at all and flies off into a wall or ceiling before you have time to shut it down. Taking it outside was even worse. At first it seemed this was a much better flying environment until once again it did not receive the commands and flies off like it has a mind of its own and lands 40 ft up in a tree 150 yards away. My teenage boys have had much experience with robotics, flying helicopters, and remote controlled cars so this should not have been difficult to fly which it's not until it stops responding. Save your $299 and invest it in either a better unit or a simple inexpensive helicopter that performs much better for half the price. We also buy a lot of Apple products and love them but this is not an Apple product and Apple does not stand behind it. Happy holidays everyone! …

I have owned the first version for several years, and couldn't wait to get my hands on the next gen AR.Drone 2.0. Stability has improved greatly, as well as the video quality. The battery that ships with this edition doesn't last too long so I would recommend picking up a second battery; either the same, or the extended life 1500 mAh version. I would also like to try the GPS-enabled flight recorder. You can also purchase spare parts, in case you have any "accidents" with your drone. There are several built-in safety mechanisms to ensure that nobody gets hurt and to minimize damage to the drone if a mishap occurs. I prefer using the "joystick" mode on the iPod remote, and I love the flips that can be performed with the 2nd gen model! My kids love chasing after the drone...or being chased by it! …
