Your Account

Shopping on the Apple Online Store is faster and more convenient when you have an Apple account. Your account consists of a unique Apple ID and password. When you're logged in, you can easily save items and carts, take advantage of express checkout ordering (using our Buy Now feature), check the status of an order, and more.

Benefits of an Apple ID

To create an Apple ID (typically your email address) or sign in using an existing Apple ID, click here. If you have made purchases through the iTunes Store or have a MobileMe account, you can use the same Apple ID you use for either of those. By using your Apple ID, you can personalize your Apple Online Store experience. You can save items you’re interested in purchasing, save a cart if you’re almost ready to place an order, use Buy Now express checkout ordering, check the status of or change your order, check Apple Gift Card balances, and much more.

Additionally, your Apple ID gives you access to other Apple resources. Sign in to Your Account to begin taking advantage of them:

  • The iTunes Store, for buying music, movies, and TV shows
  • The App Store, for buying and downloading iOS and OSX applications
  • Express checkout ordering on the Apple Online Store using Buy Now
  • Apple online product registration
  • Accessing AppleCare support for your products
  • Ordering photos and photo books with iPhoto or Aperture
  • Getting One to One personal training and other services at an Apple Retail Store

If you've forgotten your Apple ID, try your current email address. If that doesn't work, you can find your username with our Apple ID recovery tool, iForgot. You can also visit the Your Apple ID Account page.

Find or Reset Password

If you forgot your password, you can easily recover or reset it using iForgot. For security reasons, Apple cannot reset your password for you. To protect yourself against unauthorized purchases to your credit card, do not give out your password to anyone.

NOTE: If you attempt to sign in to the Apple Online Store numerous times with the wrong password, you will see the following error message: “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons." To reset your account, use iForgot.

Guest Checkout

With the Guest Checkout feature, you can purchase items the Apple Online Store without an Apple ID or password. Simply add the items you'd like to purchase to your cart, enter your shipping and payment information, and click the "Place Order Now" button.

You'll be able to check your order status and track shipments online from the Order Status page. To cancel items, add items, or make changes to your order, please call 1-800-676-2775. Manage Your Account

It's easy to change your Apple ID, password, or default shipping and payment information. Click here to view and edit your account information. Please note that you will not be able to change your credit card information if you have Express Checkout turned on.

Any changes that you make will only apply to future orders. To make changes to current orders, visit online Order Status.

Express Checkout

Express checkout ordering allows you to quickly and conveniently purchase item(s) from the Apple Online Store. When you activate express checkout for a computer, the "Buy Now" button displays on most product pages. Simply select the product you want to purchase, and click the "Buy Now" button. For security reasons, you will be prompted for your password before each Buy Now transaction is completed. For each Buy Now order, a thank you page confirming your Order Number will be available for you.

Apple will process your order according to the instructions you provide when you turn on the Express Checkout feature. Once your order has been processed, an Order Acknowledgment email will be sent to the email address registered under your Apple ID.

Remember, the Express Checkout option must be turned on for each computer you want to use it with. By activating Express Checkout, you indicate that you have read and agree with Apple's Sales and Refunds Policy.

Express Checkout Settings

To access your Express Checkout account settings, log in to Your Account and click the “Update express checkout settings" link. From here you can turn Express Checkout on or off, or edit your preferred shipping and payment information. If you’d like to change your credit card information, you must first turn off the Express Checkout option.
